Route description

From Faralya’s southern inland approach, the walk enters pine woodland and continues towards Alınca. It explores the mountain side of the coast through forest roads, narrow paths and village approaches. Several return passages make this a broader outing than a direct village connection. Take time to enjoy the shade and changing vegetation before arriving at the next settlement. Arrange arrival at the woodland departure and collection in Alınca beforehand. Kabak Bay lies outside this inland passage.

Nearby

Kabak Beach, the waterfall in its valley and the sea approach are separate outings beyond this inland passage. Yağullu Spring lies off the path; reliable flow and drinking-water quality are unconfirmed. Butterfly Valley requires a different visit plan. Avoid adding the dangerous rocky descent from Faralya to the end of a tiring day.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Municipal service 3-42 links Fethiye, Ölüdeniz, Faralya and Kabak. A separate approach from arrival in Faralya is needed to reach the woodland departure. Regular transport from Alınca is unconfirmed; book collection or agree a local transfer before setting out. Check the timetable for your travel day, especially if finishing late.
By car
Reach the Faralya area by the coastal road through Ölüdeniz, then separately access the southern woodland departure. The walk ends in Alınca, so organise a return transfer or separate group transport. The presence of forest roads on a map does not establish permission to drive along them.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Agree authorised parking arrangements in Faralya before entering the woodland. Your vehicle will remain in a different settlement after the walk. Avoid bends, narrow passages and private entrances.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainДанные по набору высоты уточняются.
SurfaceDirt 24%, Asphalt 10%, Unknown 66%.
Риски Uneven mountain paths alternate with forest roads. Junctions and return passages require careful direction choices. Shade does not replace drinking water in hot weather; Yağullu Spring’s reliability is unconfirmed. Fire restrictions apply to specified Muğla forest areas through October 2026: check permission for the particular sections before departure. Do not light fires or bypass closed passages.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 4 h 44 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Allow an estimated 5–7 hours for this passage, including return sections and relaxed pauses. This is an editorial estimate for the selected walk. Add the approach from Faralya, transport waiting and other outings separately. Start in the morning to reach Alınca before dark.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Cool spring and autumn days are most pleasant. The network organiser recommends February–June and September–November, but suitable weather does not automatically establish forest access. Assess slippery ground after rain, and account for summer heat and fire conditions.
