Route description

This HRP variant links Sausse Dessus hut in the Ossoue valley with the western approaches to Brèche de Roland. It passes Col des Espécières and the Espécières lake, then Port de Boucharo, known on Spanish maps as Puerto de Bujaruelo. It ends in the Sarradets refuge area beneath the Brèche. The journey retains returns along some mountain sections and is more than a walk from the nearest road. It suits walkers who want to approach the familiar Brèche district from Ossoue through a succession of different passes.
