Route description

From Escalona, the road climbs into the Puértolas valley toward Bestué’s entrance. This is a cycling objective in the CIMA catalogue: after the initial junction, it leaves the Añisclo direction for Sobrarbe’s hillside villages. San Vicente Mártir church stands beside the road in Puértolas, giving the sporting climb a specific local-history stop. The finish is at Bestué’s entrance; exploring the village depends on where you leave the bicycle. Choose the ride for its combination of a road climb and small mountain settlements, after planning the return to Escalona.
