Route description

This walk crosses Chatyr-Dag’s open upper plateau. In the west it visits Eklizi-Burun’s summit, returns onto the plateau and continues towards the eastern edge near Angar-Burun. Repeated passages along familiar trail are part of this version. It finishes on the eastern slope, so an exit to the road must be prepared separately. The selected line does not reach Angar-Burun’s mapped summit itself. Rocky trail and open ground among low vegetation offer limited shelter from wind. This is a journey between mountain locations for walkers able to navigate a plateau. Check the permitted sections near the national park boundary before setting out.

For walkers experienced on mountain trails with an onward descent selected beforehand. Animals are prohibited within the national park.

Nearby

Angar-Burun’s mapped summit lies near the eastern section, but reaching it needs a separate route choice. Bagrov Cave lies below the western summit side; underground exploration is outside this walk. Angarsky Pass and the lower plateau’s caves are beyond this crossing.
