Route description

The journey begins on upper Chatyr-Dag near Angar-Burun. It visits the summit itself, makes repeated passages around the eastern summit side, then descends towards the Onyx centre on the lower plateau. This sequence reverses the usual ascent title: its main movement is downhill from the mountain. Repeated sections form part of the selected crossing. It finishes on the plateau near the shelter, but entering its buildings and staying there require separate agreement. The rocky upper section gives way to trail among vegetation and plateau terrain. Yew Gorge lies near the middle section and is outside this walk. A separate mountain approach is needed to reach the start.

Расчётное время в пути 4 h 22 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Complete duration including the ascent to the start is unknown. Prepare the mountain approach first, then assess the repeated upper section, main descent and onward exit. Shelter services do not replace a confirmed return plan.

Best time to go
