Route description

This descent begins on the upper wooded side of Gurzuf Road near the Artek glades area. It follows long unpaved bends southwards and finishes lower down on the Gurzuf approach side. The road is also known as Romanov Road, but this version follows the old unpaved walking road. The paved Romanovskoye Highway and its vehicle excursion are outside the walk. The wooded slope and numerous old mountain-road bends provide the main experience. The actual glades, memorial and spring lie away from the start and are not included as required visits. Agree current availability of this section and its permit with the agency, along with the separate upper approach and lower road exit.
