Route description

This extended multiday journey begins in the forests north of Yalta Plateau. It first reaches Plaksina Glade and the Nauchny side, makes a large northwestern woodland circuit with repeated passages, then returns east and climbs through Basman towards Kemal-Egerek. The mountain section continues via Lapata towards Mitis-Bogaz and finishes on the western pass side. It combines a woodland circuit with an exposed plateau crossing. Ai-Petri’s summit is outside this version. The historic WB1 label in the original title does not define this extended variation. Agree protected-section passage, permitted overnight locations and connections between every part with the relevant agencies before planning the outing.

Historical WB1 and WB2 descriptions concern another network and do not establish visits to Bakla, palaces or cave towns in this variation. Visiting Nauchny’s observatory and using woodland shelters require separate agreement. The spring named Kemal-Egerek is distinct from the summit and does not guarantee water.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 3697 м.
SurfaceCompacted dirt 7%, Asphalt 4%, Gravel 2%, Unknown 87%.
Риски The woodland circuit contains returns and numerous junctions that require sequence checks. Wind, fog, snow and a safe distance from cliff edges matter on the plateau. Lapata reaches the southern cliff side; avoid shortcuts across it. Check river crossings, water reserves and permission for every protected section.

How much time to allow

A day-by-day plan is not established for this multiday journey. After access is confirmed, distribute the entire northwestern circuit, repeated woodland passages, summit approach and pass finish. Agree overnight locations, water resupply, external approaches and return. A historical standard network plan does not determine this variation.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose walking conditions with confirmed access and a forecast checked for the entire crossing. The upper plateau and wooded valleys can have different snow and temperatures. Rain complicates ground and water crossings; autumn dryness does not establish flowing springs.
