Route description

This Alexander Nevsky Trail variant begins at a northern roadside woodland departure. It reaches the Paraskeva Pyatnitsa spring, continues through pine surroundings towards Zaverduzhye, makes a southern turnaround and returns to the same road. Some familiar passages repeat on return, with a different local passage near the spring. Plan a full woodland day: the small spring stop is only one part of the outing. The Syabero woods combine natural scenery with local tradition. A legend says Paraskeva appeared to Prince Alexander Nevsky at the spring and foretold victory, explaining this place’s cultural memory. The tradition does not establish an exact historical road. This walk actually reaches the spring and Zaverduzhye’s waterside surroundings; the church in Syabero village requires a separate journey.
