Route description

Leave Strogino for a prolonged run in which Moscow streets gradually give way to Shulgino and Podushkino Forest. Beyond the opening urban passage, the route reaches the Chachenka Stream and Razdory side, with First Shulgino Pond beside the Shulgino passage. The woodland continuation through Podushkino then passes the Odintsovo-2 and Odintsovo-1 archaeological places. They provide a reason to recall the forest’s earlier settlement without walking onto burial mounds. Sominka Stream, Betonka, Forest Lake and Pear Pond follow. This is an independent Shulgino version with the possibility of finishing at Pionerskaya railway halt. The complete outing continues farther west to Perkhushkovo. A sequence of actual waters creates several reasons to pause, while the main experience remains sustained point-to-point movement from the metro to the suburban railway through different forest settings.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
For experienced runners with spare energy for a prolonged woodland outing. The complete version is not offered as a children’s walk. Full bicycle, stroller and dog access are not separately established. Lazutinka’s sporting paths have their own restrictions, including a prohibition on dog walking.

Nearby

Lazutinka has its own training loops, changing rooms and other facilities; using them or adding training requires separate time. Reshetnikov Pond beside Sominka lies aside from this continuation. Troitse-Lykovo’s estate side and the Moscow River bank also require separate approaches: interiors and direct waterside access are not automatically included. Before shortening the route, check Pionerskaya departures as well as the possibility of reaching the platform.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The departure is on the urban side near Strogino metro, following a separate street approach from the exit. The complete version returns from Perkhushkovo railway halt on the Belorussky direction; its endpoint also requires an approach to the platform. The author explicitly permits an earlier finish at Pionerskaya railway halt, encountered before Perkhushkovo. Check your chosen train’s stops and current timetable before setting out.
By car
Use permitted Strogino urban roads for drop-off and Perkhushkovo’s road side for collection after the complete outing. The start and finish differ, so arrange a return to any car beforehand. Woodland driving is not envisaged. Cars are prohibited inside Odintsovo Park; account for closed roads and settlement barriers on site.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Check lawful Strogino drop-off and Perkhushkovo collection arrangements before travelling. Do not obstruct woodland entrances or station crossings with a vehicle.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 573 м.
SurfaceDirt 22%, Asphalt 20%, Compacted dirt 12%, Unknown 30%.
Риски Prolonged movement and numerous woodland junctions call for attention even if you know individual Podushkino sections. Rain leaves low ground and stream approaches wet; use permitted existing passages without damaging banks. Remain off archaeological mounds and avoid independent excavation. Observe current direction and markings on sporting paths. Walking along a prepared ski course is prohibited in winter, so check the full running continuation separately. Cross roads and railway lines only using authorised passages.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 5 h 48 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Around 3–4 hours of movement is a reference for a prepared runner on suitable surfaces; waterside stops, wet woodland and crossings increase the duration. This is an independent full-version estimate rather than a published current event duration. Add street approaches to the metro and railway, train travel and spare daylight. Calculate a Pionerskaya finish separately for your chosen exit.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Dry, snow-free weather with passable woodland connections is preferable. During summer, water and a cooler departure help distribute the effort; in spring and autumn, consider wet soil and dusk. Postpone the complete outing after heavy rain or during ice. Winter sporting-path arrangements may require a different lawful passage and do not guarantee preservation of this entire run.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Running footwear with dependable grip
Spare water and familiar nutrition for prolonged exercise
Light wind and rain protection
Phone, saved map and spare power
Headtorch
Seasonal tick protection
Small first-aid kit and a dry post-run layer
