Route description

This prolonged run starts beside Strogino, passes the riverside edge of Troitse-Lykovo and then heads into the western woods. Trinity Church stands beside the early passage, recalling the old village’s history. Town approaches and pedestrian bridge sections gradually give way to dirt paths. Hidden Ravine is represented here by a seasonal stream; the open side of Chachenka Stream appears farther on, before the own continuation towards Podushkino Forest. North of Lazutinka, the journey meets Sominka Stream and the Odintsovo-2 archaeological place before selecting its western approach to Laykovo. In the village, pause beside the exterior of Kazan Church and the memorial to those killed in the Second World War. Woodland beyond Laykovo then heads towards the Medvenka side, while concluding road portions lead to Perkhushkovo’s railway. This is a distinct older western option, needing an independent sustained running day and differing from the continuation through Shulgino, Pionerskaya and the southern forest lakes.

Route at a glance

Главное за минуту
Combine a substantial woodland run with two different village histories: Troitse-Lykovo beside the Moscow River and Laykovo on the western continuation. Churches, the Odintsovo-2 place and real streams give the journey several changes of character. Perkhushkovo’s railway provides a useful return point when time and stamina are kept in reserve.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
For experienced runners prepared for a prolonged outing, forest junctions and an independent return train. Steps, dirt ground and lengthy woodland sections make the full option unsuitable as a children’s or stroller walk. Cycling through individual town portions does not establish complete bicycle access; dog-accompaniment conditions and mobile reception remain unknown throughout.

Nearby

The author associated this option with a small woodland lake called Markov’s Crater north of the roller-skiing side. Its separate exact location is unconfirmed, so an arbitrary waterbody or spring has not been added under that name. A complete visit to Troitse-Lykovo’s monastery courtyard or Kazan Church’s interior needs a separate stop and opening checks. The lakes and Central Glade on Lazutinka’s southern passage are outside this own northern approach. Medvenka lies on the western continuation side, without an established unrestricted approach to the water. The Strogino beach belonged to the author’s earlier reverse plan; this current ending does not include bathing.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Begin near Strogino metro’s eastern entrance: the own departure side is close to entrance 7, with a separate short approach. Finish beside Perkhushkovo railway halt on the Belorussky direction; use a permitted approach to the correct platform and choose a train that stops there. For a shorter walk, the author suggests Razdory or Romashkovo as independent alternative starts; plan their approaches and the changed outing separately. They do not replace the full Strogino departure.
By car
Arrange a lawful town-side drop-off at Strogino metro and collection on Perkhushkovo’s railway road side after the full journey. These are different places, so returning to a car needs a separate arrangement. Woodland paths and closed roads are unsuitable for support vehicles; churchyard vehicle entry follows the owner’s conditions.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Establish lawful drop-off conditions at Strogino and road-side collection arrangements near Perkhushkovo before travelling. Check separately before leaving a car for the entire outing; keep crossings, gates, forest entrances and station service roads clear.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 411 м.
SurfaceAsphalt 25%, Dirt 17%, Dirt / grass 5%, Unknown 45%.
Риски Use sidewalks and permitted crossings on the early town approaches rather than running in the carriageway. Pedestrian bridge sections near the ring road include steps, so slow down there. Forest junctions, roots and wet low ground require confident navigation; a continuation remains beyond Laykovo before the railway finish. Leave archaeological mounds untouched. Do not bypass fences or enter closed private roads, and cross railway lines only through current permitted crossings. Walk beside churches and arrange interior or courtyard visits separately. Prepared winter ski lanes are not automatically open running paths.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 6 h 44 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
The complete duration of this particular older western option is unestablished. Keep a day free for the town approach, forest ground, Laykovo pauses and the return from Perkhushkovo. Former author-led outings with fires do not establish present rest services or fire permission. A day-by-day plan is not established. Decide on a safe early finish before delays use up the woodland daylight reserve.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose dry woodland ground, cool weather and sufficient daylight. Rain softens low areas and dirt connections, while autumn leaves conceal roots. Hidden Ravine Stream may be dry. In winter, check ice, stepped approaches and ski-network rules separately; snow changes conditions throughout the long journey.
