Route description

From the railway side of Barvikha, this long run heads towards Ilyinskoye, takes a western woodland continuation and reaches Lake Generalskoye. The opening still belongs to the Moscow River and settlement streets: the old Church of Elijah the Prophet stands at Ilyinskoye, followed by Bykov Pond beside the forest passage. Beyond Velednikovo, near the Church of St Sergius of Radonezh, the journey continues towards the woodland lake. This version makes its own close approach to Generalskoye, providing a welcome place to exchange running for a brief waterside pause. Attention then turns east. Lipka, Voronoy Ford and Praslikha streams accompany the continuation towards the Opalikha side, while Krasnogorsk brings town paths and the Deer Family sculpture. Beyond the Banka and Sinichka rivers, the concluding passage heads towards Mitino. The names of the Spas-Tushino settlement sites recall the area’s medieval past beside the park paths. The finish is near Volokolamskaya, rather than Mitino metro. A complete outing needs endurance, daylight in reserve and advance checks of permitted passage beside private woodland roads.

Independent navigation and access checks are required throughout; choose an individual place for a family walk. Running use does not establish complete bicycle access, while the forest passage and prolonged effort make this unsuitable as a stroller outing.

Nearby

Lake Generalskoye west of Anikeevka and Generalsky Pond in urban Krasnogorsk are different waterbodies. This outing approaches the forest lake, without promising swimming, a beach, unrestricted access to every shore or refreshments at the stop. The Palace Village Museum at Ilyinskoye, estate grounds and church interiors need a separate visit and opening checks. An information board beside the road names the settlement associated with Spas-Tushino Hillfort 2; a board does not establish that this outing visits the entire archaeological territory. Plan other monuments, museum displays and additional Mitino loops separately.

Without a car
Approach the start from Barvikha railway halt on the Usovo branch of the Belorussky direction; a separate walk connects the platform with the departure road side. Choose a train that stops at Barvikha. The finish is near exit 1 of Volokolamskaya metro; reach the entrance using the permitted pedestrian side. The MCD station sharing the name is separate, and Mitino metro is not the finishing point. If shortening the outing at Ilyinskoye, check present bus services and the stop approach independently.
By car
Arrange a lawful road-side drop-off in Barvikha near the departure neighbourhood by Rublyovo-Uspenskoye Highway. Plan collection separately near Volokolamskaya and Novotushinsky Passage after the full outing. A car left at the start still needs a return arrangement after this linear journey. Use permitted road-side meeting points for support; woodland and private roads require their own permission.
Parking
City parking 9211 is confirmed beside Volokolamskaya metro at the finishing side, with a separate short approach. Check present arrangements, charges and spaces with Moscow Parking. Parking at the Barvikha start is unconfirmed, so establish drop-off and longer parking conditions before travelling. Keep gates, crossings and private driveways clear.

Риски Alongside the prolonged forest effort are streets, highway approaches and the railway side of Opalikha. Use the sidewalk on Ilyinskoye Bridge. Cross Novorizhskoye Highway only through a permitted pedestrian passage away from the carriageway, and railways through current designated crossings. Check passage beside private roads in the western forest, Velednikovo and Opalikha before setting out: closed gates require a separately permitted continuation or an early finish. Unrestricted continuous passage across private property is unconfirmed. Do not bypass fences, improvise shore shortcuts or cross archaeological ground. Rain can soften low ground and forest paths; give way to walkers in town parks.
