Route description

The Panfilov direction between the Chismena and Dubosekovo sides connects woodland walking with memorial places of Moscow’s defence. In Gusenevo, a short side passage reaches Ivan Panfilov’s monument. Woodland corridors and wet hollows then give way to the Anino side and its soldiers’ mass grave. The onward passage reaches the Dubosekovo memorial forecourt: figures of Moscow’s defenders are visible on the hill, with the interactive Bunker nearby. The journey places history within its woodland and field surroundings, turning monuments into meaningful pauses. Before travelling, choose your own order of walking sections and passenger approaches; short memorial branches return to the main direction. Present water and road crossings need separate checking.

Conditions for dogs and bicycles are separately unestablished. Do not plan the entire passage with a stroller; continuous reception is unconfirmed.

Nearby

The Panfilov Heroes Museum on Krestyanskaya Street in Nelidovo and the interactive Bunker beside the memorial are distinct properties. The outside memorial approach described here does not include the Nelidovo exhibition. Volokolamsk Kremlin, Teryayevo and the Joseph-Volokolamsk Monastery belong to separate journeys. The current notice of an October closure at the Volokolamsk exhibition does not transfer to the museum beside Dubosekovo.

Without a car
Chismena and Dubosekovo are actual passenger railway ends on the Rizhsky direction for this historical corridor. Your chosen walking side needs a separate authorised platform approach. First decide the order of the walk and memorial branches, then choose present trains and return. Matrenino approaches and bus options require independent checking and are not automatically added.
By car
Agree delivery to your chosen Chismena or Dubosekovo side and collection after the walking ending. If a car stays at one end, arrange return from the other before travelling. Direct access to woodland river locations is unconfirmed; visiting memorials by car does not replace walking connections.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Ask whether you may leave a vehicle for the entire outing at your chosen passenger or memorial approach. Agree group drop-off and a longer car stay separately.

Soldiers’ mass grave in Anino (Goryuny) The memorial side passage in Anino, formerly Goryuny, is associated with a soldiers’ mass grave. It is a separate pause by the road section of the journey.
Panfilov Heroes Memorial (view from the forecourt) From the memorial forecourt, the figures of Moscow’s defenders are visible on the hill. Choose a separate approach to the sculpture under the complex’s current authorised access.
Panfilov Heroes Interactive Museum Bunker The museum stands beside the memorial forecourt. Visit its command-post reconstruction separately under current opening and admission conditions.

Separately check the Bakhareva location with its previously damaged bridge, road passages on the Volokolamsk side and the connection near the M9. Former markings do not guarantee clear passage today. Gusenevo and Anino memorial branches return to the main direction; choose your order beforehand.
