Route description

From Morozki, this summer running passage begins at the Moscow Canal, then heads through the Rozhdestveno side towards woodland near Tishkovo. It includes an actual Kakotka crossing and a woodland lake with an island identified in the club description. Beyond Tishkovo, the direction turns towards Uchinskoye Reservoir’s northern shore and finishes on the Zavety Ilyicha side. The day links extensive water, a small river and woodland between two railway directions. Uchinskoye’s shore, however, is subject to strict sanitary protection: an independent visit to this section needs confirmed authorised access. The author’s swimming proposals are not current permission; plan the complete outing only after resolving shore access.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
A prepared running outing with independent provision and the Uchinskoye access question resolved beforehand. Conditions for children, dogs and bicycles are separately unconfirmed. Continuous mobile reception has not been checked.

Nearby

Dedenevo’s canal museum and a sluice excursion need a separate trip and are outside this passage. The woodland lake near Tishkovo has a specific place in the club description, but no confirmed official proper name was found; an equipped rest place, fire and swimming are not promised. Churches in the Rozhdestveno and Tishkovo area need their own additional approaches. Tishkovo Sanatorium, Kurovskoye Mire and Pestovskoye Reservoir beaches have not been added as automatically visited stops.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The starting railway side is Morozki on the Savyolovsky direction; the ending is Zavety Ilyicha on the Yaroslavsky direction. A separate approach leads from Morozki’s platform to the start, while another follows the ending towards the required Zavety Ilyicha platform. Check train calls, current crossings and the return timetable. The sanatorium bus in the old announcement needs its own present-day check.
By car
Agree vehicle delivery on the Morozki side and collection at Zavety Ilyicha when travelling by car. Arrange the return to any car left behind separately. Driving through woodland or reaching Uchinskoye’s shore by vehicle is unconfirmed and does not override the protected area’s regime.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Ask whether you may leave a car at the selected railway ending for the outing. Historical club arrangements do not establish a vehicle location today. Agree collection separately from shore approaches.

What to expect

Places
Moscow Canal at Morozki The opening section crosses the canal along the bridge’s pedestrian side. This water crossing marks the journey’s beginning; check current access beforehand and use the authorised pedestrian section.
Kakotka River An actual river crossing on the Tishkovo woodland side. This is a specific named watercourse; check the crossing’s condition and safe passage separately.
Northern shore of Uchinskoye Reservoir This shore section is actually present in the direction, but lies in an area subject to strict sanitary protection. Visiting needs confirmed authorised access; swimming and unrestricted waterside entry are not included.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 492 м.
SurfaceAsphalt 54%, Dirt 19%, Compacted dirt 4%, Unknown 22%.
Риски The main organisational section is Uchinskoye Reservoir’s northern shore under strict sanitary protection. Confirm authorised passage before starting; without it, do not plan an independent journey along the complete line. Use the canal bridge’s current pedestrian side rather than its vehicle carriageway. Assess the Kakotka crossing separately. After rain, woodland ground and hollows need extra time; entering beyond fences or swimming on the Uchinskoye side is not a continuation option.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 7 h 40 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Complete duration with rail travel and pauses is unconfirmed. First confirm passage through the shore section, then plan a daylight outing allowing for canal and river crossings, woodland ground and both platform approaches. The former club rest place does not impose a pause timetable. Choose the return train against your usual prolonged woodland-running pace.

Best time to go
