Route description

The northern running version from Povarovka to Katuar crosses the western part of Lytsenka Transitional Mire Sanctuary. The protected site conserves a connected woodland-and-wetland ecosystem in an ancient drainage hollow. The passage encounters this specific western side; entering the open mire is not included. Beyond this section, the passage continues along a northern arc and descends towards a separate ending near Katuar. A short approach to the platform side is still needed. The author considers the direction conditionally usable and warns of possible spring flooding. Dolgoye’s actual shore, a beach and bathing are outside the confirmed visits; this is a long woodland running outing requiring preparation.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Experience of long woodland runs and assessment of damp ground are needed. Children’s participation, dog access and cycling are separately unconfirmed. Do not plan the complete woodland-and-wetland passage with a stroller. Continuous mobile coverage is unconfirmed.

Nearby

Dolgoye Lake is outside the confirmed visits: its shore, beach side and holiday facilities need a separate checked approach. Morozovo Lake, the Myshetskoye arc and Krugloye belong to the other southern version or independent walks. Greater Ring railway halts are not additional guaranteed exits without timetable and approach checks. The old club passage to Lugovaya has a different ending and is outside this version.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Approach the start from Povarovka passenger halt on the Leningrad railway side; check a train calling here. Neighbouring Povarovo-1 is a different place. After finishing, first use the current approach to Katuar’s platform side, then the Savyolovsky direction. Check the railway crossing, boarding platform and return train before starting. Old club departure times are not a current timetable.
By car
Arrange a vehicle meeting at the chosen railway ending separately from the woodland run. Driving along the lake and sanctuary section is unconfirmed. The two endings differ, so resolve the return to your car first. For a Katuar meeting, remember that the actual finish is before the platform side.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Ask whether you may leave a car at the chosen ending during the outing. The presence of a railway halt does not establish permitted vehicle space or security services. Agree collection after finishing separately.

What to expect

Places
Lytsenka Transitional Mire Sanctuary — The specific western side of the named protected site crossed by the passage. The sanctuary conserves a woodland-and-wetland ecosystem; a separate outing into the open mire is not included.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 141 м.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски The author warns about flooding around the lake section during spring thaw. Damp woodland and the mire edge require the existing passage, avoiding shortcuts through wet hollows. Check crossings of roads and the Moscow Railway’s Greater Ring in the northern section and use an authorised crossing. Account for the remaining passage towards Katuar and subsequent platform approach after a tiring run.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 6 h 22 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Complete duration including trains, stops and the separate Katuar approach is unconfirmed. Start by checking passage through the lake and wetland sections, then choose daylight reserves and a return train. Allow for turning back if water blocks the usual passage. A historical group stop does not establish an independent run’s timing.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
The author associates this direction with a spring run and explicitly warns that snowmelt affects it. Spring water can make the usual passage unusable. Reliable calendar dates are unconfirmed: check damp woodland, road crossings and sufficient daylight before travelling. A winter ski season or safe travel over ice is separately unconfirmed.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Footwear for wet woodland running, dry socks and clothing suited to a long outing.
Your own water and food; drinking-water resupply in the lake-and-wetland area is unconfirmed.
Rain layer, insect protection, light and first aid.
A map of the woodland passage and separate ending, phone and spare power.
Checked return trains and an agreed meeting if using a car.
Avoid damaging the protected wetland vegetation or making a new approach to the water.
