Route description

This running crossing starts at Nakhabino station and ends with Khoja Nasreddin and his donkey near Molodyozhnaya. Along the way are Velednikovo’s St Sergius Church, ponds near Stepanovskoye and Ilyinskoye, whose historic church recalls the area’s estate heritage. Waterside pauses and village streets gradually give way to southern woodland and sporting paths. Closer to Moscow, the route meets Old, Agregatnaya and Pivnaya glades. The trees open briefly, offering a change of light before the urban finish. This is an endurance outing: short returns, forest junctions and road crossings make it considerably more demanding than a casual station-to-station walk.

Nearby

At the finishing square, a separate short visit can include Baron Munchausen’s monument, slightly beyond the Khoja Nasreddin endpoint. Ilyinskoye’s village museum and the church interior need their own visit and opening checks. Markov Crater appears in the author’s route collection, but the name does not establish a meteorite origin. Ponds and streams along the way are not verified drinking sources or guaranteed bathing places.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Start on the south side of Nakhabino railway station. Check the appropriate platform exit before travelling. The route ends beside the Khoja Nasreddin monument on Yartsevskaya Street near Molodyozhnaya; a separate short street walk leads to metro entrance 1. The starting railway station and finishing metro belong to different transport routes, with no direct single-train return.
By car
Arrange a drop-off on the town side of Nakhabino station and a separate collection near Molodyozhnaya. Leaving a car at the start requires an independent return after finishing. For intermediate support, choose permitted town or village meeting places; forest roads and closed private approaches are unsuitable vehicle connections.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Check where a car may remain for the full day near the selected station or collection point. Railway approaches, church parking areas and residential courtyards do not automatically allow extended stays. Keep entrances and platform access clear.

Риски Expect an endurance run, requiring food reserves and navigation skills. Uneven woodland paths include wet ground and junctions; some short branches return the same way. Confirm permitted passage near private grounds in the western section. Use designated railway and major-road crossings, and separate pedestrian space beside carriageways. At Lazutinka, follow the marked running direction and side; dogs are prohibited on the sporting piste. Walk beside churches and through busy park areas.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 10 h 17 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
For an experienced runner, this is a long day outing with planned rest stops and exit options. No verified overall time is available, so leave flexibility in any meeting at Molodyozhnaya. Allow for waterside stops, settlements and the station approach. Walking needs a separate plan and likely a shorter option.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Cool days after the ground dries are preferable. Water stops provide a pleasant change in hot weather, but exposed places lack continuous shade; carry drinking water. Wet autumn leaves hide roots, and spring low ground becomes muddy. Walking on Lazutinka’s prepared winter ski piste is prohibited, so winter running requires a separately planned permitted alternative.
