Route description

From Mitino, this cycling circuit heads towards Krasnogorsk and places with markedly different histories. Narodnogo Opolcheniya Street has the former antifascist school building, Chernevo has the Assumption Church, and farther north, beyond woodland and urban connections, stand Saburovo’s Kazan Church and village memorial. The return passes through Novogorsk, Kurkino and Putilkovo, with Skhodnya views appearing between neighbourhoods and road crossings. The complete original circuit currently needs revision: the Putilkovskoye Highway bridge is closed to traffic for repairs announced through the end of April 2027. Arrange another permitted return or choose an independently planned shorter section. The ride combines streets, woodland roads and cycling sections, without a continuous Skhodnya riverside path.

Route at a glance

Главное за минуту
Discover the separate histories behind familiar district names: Krasnogorsk’s wartime past, old Chernevo and the village memorials of Saburovo and Kurkino. The Banka and Skhodnya bring riverside pauses into an urban ride. A museum visit can complement a selected accessible section, with time and bicycle storage arranged separately.

Nearby

The Krasnogorsk branch of the Victory Museum covers the antifascist school, prisoners of war and the Second World War. Visit the exhibition separately under the current schedule, arranging bicycle storage first. Entry inside the Assumption and Kazan churches also depends on parish arrangements. A Skhodnya gazebo mentioned in the older cycling collection has no reliably established individual location here and is not promised as a stop. Swimming places, drinking springs and entry to closed property are not included.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Mitino metro station is the starting reference; choose a surface exit area for meeting and preparing the bicycle. Adult bicycles must be dismantled and packed for metro carriage, subject to current luggage rules and dimensions. Do not expect to enter with an assembled bicycle. Returning to the same station requires a separately planned permitted option that accounts for the Putilkovo bridge repairs.
By car
Choose an urban meeting point in Mitino where stopping to unload is permitted. The original circuit returns to the district, but bridge repairs mean the finish needs separate planning. Do not send a support vehicle along the closed Putilkovskoye Highway section. The official motor-vehicle diversion via the Moscow Ring Road is not a cycling recommendation.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Check where a car may be left near the chosen start and whether all-day parking is permitted. Do not count on a space beside the metro or in a residential courtyard without checking signs. Keep museum and church entrances clear; bicycle storage inside an institution needs separate agreement.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainДанные по набору высоты уточняются.
SurfaceAsphalt 58%, Compacted dirt 12%, Paving stones 5%, Unknown 14%.
Риски The municipal closure of the Putilkovskoye Highway bridge runs from 10 March 2026 to 30 April 2027. Do not plan the complete circuit until a permitted alternative is confirmed: walking a bicycle through the construction site has not been established as allowed. Near the museum on Narodnogo Opolcheniya Street, a short service road conflicts with the current one-way direction; dismount where pedestrian passage is permitted or choose a lawful connection. Pyatnitskoye and Kurkinskoye highways, urban junctions and courtyard exits require confident handling in traffic. Rain makes woodland ground and paving slippery, and pedestrians have priority on shared paths.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 3 h 46 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Allow a day for the chosen accessible section, including church, memorial and river stops. No reliable overall circuit time is verified, and repairs change the return plan. Decide on the finish and bicycle collection before starting. Arrange museum admission separately: an exterior stop and an exhibition visit require different allowances.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Dry, cool weather is preferable once the woodland connections have dried, with enough daylight for the return. Exposed road sections require water and breaks in heat; rain calls for more time. Winter ice and road spray substantially change conditions. Seasonal advantages do not remove the bridge closure, so check its status before each outing.
