Route description

Woodland dunes north of Priluki and Black Lake give the Akri–Turovo direction a particular destination. The hike begins beside the railway, crosses the Kremichenka, called Kremnitsa in the author’s guide, and gradually enters Stupino Forest Park. A close City Pond passage precedes further woodland paths towards the Oka side. Completing the journey first requires confirmation of presently permitted passage beneath the M-4 bridge and near Malyushina Dacha: continuous unrestricted access throughout is unestablished. Beyond the Sokolova Pustyn side, the course follows the Oka’s left bank. The road changes its position relative to the water, while crossing the Kireevka becomes a particular pause for assessing present conditions. Observe the broad river from stable accessible ground rather than approaching crumbling sandy cliff edges for photographs. Near Malyushina Dacha, the selected course uses a fence bypass whose access needs renewed checking. Climbing Pyany Bugor is excluded. Another dune area lies farther on, north of Priluki: woodland roads wind among pine-covered hills and hollows before closely approaching Black Lake’s northern side. The surroundings change from the broad Oka to water within woodland and sandy ground. Choose pauses only on stable accessible bank-side ground. The continuation crosses woodland and fields towards Turovo, ending on the village’s bus-stop side. Once complete passage is confirmed, several days can be planned with separately agreed permitted overnight accommodation and a return. The forest park, riverbank and northern dunes then become successive parts of exploring the Oka country.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Akri Railway Halt serves the beginning and Turovo’s physical bus stop the finish; check present services beforehand. Completing the hike first requires confirmation of permitted passage beneath the M-4 and continuous continuation near Malyushina Dacha. The extended sandy and wooded version is unsuitable as a leisure outing with young children or a stroller. A bicycle may need pushing, while permitted cycling throughout is unconfirmed. Check dog conditions, reception and permitted overnight locations separately.

Nearby

Pyany Bugor lies away from the selected bypass and is fenced; entering it or seeking a way through the fence is excluded. The Dmitry Donskoy marker on Turovo Hill, Nativity of the Mother of God Church and Turovo estate buildings need separate permitted approaches. Rezvan and Novoye lakes are not confirmed bank-side stops on this version. The Nikiforovo steppe-plant colony belongs to another direction. Crossing the Oka, Senkin Ford and the opposite bank are excluded.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Arrive at Akri Halt on the Paveletsky railway line. The finish lies beside the physical Turovo stop, associated by the author with a Serpukhov bus direction. Check present services, boarding side and the onward train connection. The early woodland portion has a Lesopark stop; a checked operating Stupino connection may support a separately prepared shorter outing. Historical departures and bus numbers do not replace your day’s timetable.
By car
Arrange permitted delivery on the Akri side and separate collection in Turovo. A vehicle left at the beginning needs a separately planned return. Present permitted intermediate meetings near Sokolova Pustyn or Priluki depend on road and access checks. Avoid driving the bank-side walking course or treating the Malyushina Dacha bypass as unrestricted through-driving.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Arrange a presently permitted vehicle-storage space near Akri, Turovo or a separate meeting location beforehand. An old large bank-side parking description does not establish today’s arrangements. Keep station approaches, bus stops, river roads and entrances clear.

What to expect

Places
Kremichenka Stream near Akri the first watercourse crossing at the beginning. The author calls it Kremnitsa; assess the present approach before continuing.
City Pond in Stupino Forest Park the water body beside the road between ponds, with pauses chosen on stable accessible ground. An entire shore circuit and equipped beach are unestablished.
Oka River’s Left Bank the river portion beyond Sokolova Pustyn, observing the broad water from the existing road. Choose shoreline branches separately after checking ground and access.
Kireevka Stream Crossing the watercourse on the bank-side continuation. Assess the crossing and water first; a historical bridge description does not establish present safety.
Black Lake North of Priluki the woodland lake with a close northern-side passage. Pause on stable accessible ground; an equipped beach, swimming and permitted camping are unestablished.
Dunes North of Priluki the pine-covered hills and hollows on the wooded continuation towards Turovo. These belong to another part of the landscape from fenced Pyany Bugor; a road passage over one hill forms part of this direction.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 232 м.
SurfaceAsphalt 16%, Dirt 3%, Compacted dirt 2%, Unknown 79%.
Риски Before the full outing, confirm presently permitted lower passage beneath the M-4 bridge: never ignore prohibitory signs or enter motorway lanes. Near Malyushina Dacha, fences and excavated roads changed local movement; continuous permitted access along the bypass is unestablished. Do not start the full version without it or climb a fence to continue. Reassess the Kireevka crossing structure and water. Slow down on sandy roads, roots and uneven woodland ground; a bicycle may need pushing. Keep back from unstable Oka cliffs and watch for vehicles on the bypass road. Do not replace the Lesopark Old Kashira Highway crossing with a direct shortcut lacking a permitted crossing.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 8 h 3 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Time for the route | Unestablished With stops | Unestablished The author proposes 2 days: an initial Akri–Priluki-side stage followed by woodland dunes towards Turovo. This is a geographical outline after confirming complete passage; a present permitted overnight location and ready day-by-day plan are unestablished. Pond, Oka and Black Lake pauses, Kireevka assessment and the bypass affect duration. Calculate arrival, the return bus, onward train and vehicle return separately. Prepare an independent shorter outing if permitted continuations remain unconfirmed.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose dry snow-free ground and sufficient daylight after checking access. Heat is particularly noticeable on the exposed bank-side continuation, making water reserves and sun protection useful. Rain changes low woodland ground, banks and the stream crossing; reassess present conditions. Winter preparation and access throughout are unestablished; travelling on Oka ice is excluded.
