Route description

Leave Mitino on foot and emerge from the woods in another town. On the way to Krasnogorskaya, streets soon give way to paths that bend around ravines, climb slopes and return towards the water. Beside the Sinichka, trees open onto a floodplain meadow, showing how a small watercourse can shape an entire woodland setting. The walk then meets Krauze Avenue, part of the area’s skiing heritage, before reaching the Banka valley. Beyond the woodland crossing come Izumrudnye Kholmy and a square with a war memorial. A final wooded stretch on the Opalikha side brings back a quieter atmosphere before the station finish. Give this varied walk an unhurried day, with room to stop along the way.

In the urban section at Izumrudnye Kholmy, choose a separate rest stop or replenish water at an open shop. The Assumption Church and Utrobin Ski Stadium belong to other Krasnogorsk outings and are outside this line. Small rivers and floodplain waters along the walk are not confirmed drinking sources or designated bathing sites.

Without a car
Start beside Mitino metro on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line, using the side towards Dubravnaya Street. The finish is by the southeast approach to Krasnogorskaya on MCD-2. These are separate transport points; the walk does not circle back to the metro. Check the appropriate exit and your return train before travelling.
By car
A possible town-side arrival is the neighbourhood around Mitino metro. Arrange the return from Krasnogorskaya to your car separately by public transport or taxi. Interior woodland paths are not vehicle approaches.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Check where you may leave the car for the whole day at your selected town-side arrival. Residential courtyards near the metro do not establish free or permitted parking.

Use the designated crossing over Volokolamsk Highway and permitted crossings on other streets. Watch for cyclists and skiers on sporting paths; do not walk along prepared ski grooves.
