The Metropolitan Road preserves an old direction between Dmitrovskoye and Aksinyino in western Moscow Region. Its eastern section begins beside Dmitrovskoye, near the Church of St Demetrius of Thessaloniki. The village street gradually gives way to paths near Timoshkino and woodland. This countryside passage gains historical meaning from the former ownership of these lands by the metropolitans. This version includes two separate sections. The eastern one leads from Dmitrovskoye into the woods; the western one climbs from the Aksinyino side towards woodland near Chesnokovo. Choose and check a separate connection between their woodland ends in advance; an established joining passage is unconfirmed here. Plan two independent outings or agree on a connection and return with a local guide. The western finish remains among woodland paths. This journey suits walkers interested in understanding local history through the road itself, with uneven ground and junctions forming part of the forest experience.

Reach the eastern side by public road towards Dmitrovskoye. For the western section, choose an authorised road side towards Aksinyino and approach the woods on foot. Confirm access through garden communities and residential estates separately: pedestrian passage does not grant vehicle access. The finish is on Chesnokovo’s woodland side, without confirmed direct car access.
