Route description

The Waterside Path shows Tsaritsyno from the Upper Pond. Walk beside the water and notice the bends in the shoreline, the islands and the park buildings appearing between trees. This historic walk has its own character, with pauses shaped by the pond rather than a hurried tour of the entire palace complex. Linger beside Milovida’s arched gallery and imagine an early 19 th-century countryside outing. The Ruin Arch on its island belongs to the water landscape; crossing to it is not part of the walk. Choose this version for an unhurried introduction that lets water and architecture form a lasting impression.
