Route description

This variant faces towards Listvyanka and consists of separate coastal sections. Its first short passages lie south of Bolshoye Goloustnoye; the main group of wooded and waterside sections lies between the Chyornaya-valley side and Listvyanka. The western group includes actual Baikal access and the Vitaly Dementyev memorial stele. A complete through-hike from Goloustnoye is unconfirmed: distant sections require independently established authorised connections. Select a checked section, its approach and departure for your outing. On 12 October 2026, reopening following the bear-related closure of 4 September is unconfirmed; defer departure until admission is agreed.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 628 м.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски Unconfirmed connections between distant sections are the main planning difficulty. Do not replace them with improvised surf-side passages or closed slopes. On selected coastal sections, consider loose rock, wet stones, waves and ice. The lower cliff-side Listvyanka approach is prohibited; establish an authorised approach and current admission with the park.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 5 h 18 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
A complete through-passage plan and duration are unconfirmed. Arrange an independent outing on a checked section, including departure approach and return transport. The one-day catalogue classification does not establish a Goloustnoye–Listvyanka hike in one day; standard Great Baikal Trail times are not transferred here.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
On an open selected section, prefer dry snow-free weather and a calm lake. Allow for short autumn daylight and check ice. Ending fire restrictions on 1 October 2026 does not establish removal of the separate bear-related restriction.
