Route description

This variant brings together two different mountain directions on Khamar-Daban’s Osinovka side. One branch descends from the high-lake area through Bolshaya Osinovka valley towards Solzan. The other begins independently in the mountains, passes above Vysokogornoye Lake, crosses Saibat’s headwaters and follows Serebryanka towards Charuyushchy Waterfall and the river’s mouth beside Khara-Murin. The strongest change of scenery is from open slopes around the lakes to a confined river valley and its waterfall. Vysokogornoye’s shore is excluded: the lake is viewed from the upper bypass. No complete connection between village-side and mountain branches is established, and the ending remains in taiga beside a river confluence. Establish full passage, return and overnight places independently before departure.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - No With a dog - No data By bike - No With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data For an experienced self-sufficient walking group prepared for stones, vegetation, crossings and demanding navigation. Departure is already in the mountains; lower arrival and exit beyond the waterfall are not fully included. This variant does not establish a ready station-based circuit.

Nearby

Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth lakes neighbour the mountain directions, but their shores are not automatically included. Osinovsky Golets summit requires a separate verified approach. Return through Khara-Murin and Irkut Stream, or exit towards Murino, are independent continuations and do not establish a ready circuit here.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The suburban operator’s own timetable confirms Baikalsk railway arrival on the Irkutsk–Vydrino direction. The station serves lower Solzan rather than the mountain departure. Select a current service and independently organise ascent to your chosen mountain branch; public transport from Serebryanka’s mouth is unconfirmed.
By car
Agree vehicle delivery on the lower Solzan side. No verified road access reaches the exact mountain departure. Final collection beside the highway requires an additional established exit from Khara-Murin valley; driving to the waterfall itself is unpromised.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Agree vehicle storage independently on the lower village side, allowing for return through another valley.

What to expect

Places
Bolshaya Osinovka valley the actual wooded river side traversed on the Solzan branch.
Vysokogornoye from the upper bypass a view of the named mountain lake without descent to its shore, when visibility permits.
Upper Saibat valley an actual mountain-passage section through the stream’s headwaters.
Serebryanka valley the real river direction followed towards its mouth.
Charuyushchy Waterfall a confirmed Serebryanka approach, without promised safe swimming or rock ascent.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainДанные по набору высоты уточняются.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски The upper lake bypass crosses mountain ground with stones and dwarf-pine thickets. Descent towards Serebryanka requires confident navigation and checked river channels. Earlier parties do not guarantee a present path, fixed ropes or passable river-side cliffs. Wet stones and flowing water demand caution beside the waterfall. Do not descend an unfamiliar drop when a safe exit is unseen.

How much time to allow

The complete duration of this composite variant is unconfirmed. A day-by-day plan is not established. For a multi-day outing, separately agree your selected branch, mountain approach, authorised overnights and extra exit from Serebryanka’s mouth. Historical complete-circuit days are not transferred to these directions; allow reserves for weather and crossings.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
The snow-free mountain season with a stable forecast and passable crossings. Rain and high water may prevent travel through river valleys. Early snow complicates stony slopes; historical summer passage does not establish a winter route.
