Route description

Bolgash reveals the rocky slopes of the Torgashinsky Ridge from an upper path and from within a wooded gully. From the eastern junction, this direction first heads toward the southern ridge. Pass Astra and reach the Second Torgashinsky viewing area. In clear weather, examine the Bazaikha winding between forested hills, distant Abatak and the Stolby rock panorama. A stable position on the path provides the view without moving toward a ledge edge. The upper section continues toward rocky Luch Hill before returning to the northern woodland side. In Bolgash Gully, the perspective changes: rocky valley walls become the walk’s immediate setting. The organiser identifies views of Sivye, Soty and Magda; their summits are not separate required ascents. The stream section and Damp Hollow crossing give the woodland return its own character. Choose Bolgash for a substantial ridge outing combining high ground, viewing stops and a stream gully. Prepare the Zagorye or city-trail approach separately and retain strength for steep ascents and the return. Mokraya Cave and Television Grotto need independent branches outside this circuit.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - No With a dog - No data By bike - No With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data City transport leaves a separate long approach and return beyond the woodland circuit. Very steep slopes and ridge passage require good fitness and confident walking. The complete version is unsuitable for an ordinary children’s leisure walk, bicycle or stroller. Dog conditions are unconfirmed. The organiser reports good Tele 2 reception, but continuous current coverage for every phone is unestablished. Prepare independent navigation and the return beforehand.

Nearby

Mokraya Cave, Television Grotto, Wolf Grotto and Khitry Klyuch lie on separate approaches. Television is below the viewing area; its steep descent is outside Bolgash Circuit. Magda is associated with local mountaineers’ shelters, but the hut at its base is recorded as ruined and is not confirmed overnight shelter. Sivye and Soty form part of the northern rock views, while independent ascents require a different plan. This circuit does not cross the Bazaikha.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The organiser describes arrival at Nash Dvor, meaning Our Yard, followed by an allotment-side approach along Speleologists Trail, then Karst and Health trails to the orange Bolgash direction. Check the present bus and permitted passage through settled areas beforehand. Direct city transport to the woodland starting junction is unestablished. Prepare the approach and return to the stop separately with sufficient daylight.
By car
One drop-off option serves the Zagorye-1 allotments, followed by Health Trail toward Bolgash. Check the road, gates and drop-off beforehand. The external Marble Quarry approach is described across the Bazaikha, requiring an independent check of the present crossing outside this circuit. Vehicle passage around the woodland loop is unconfirmed. Choose a settled arrival point allowing the complete agreed pedestrian approach.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. The organiser warns of vehicle-storage difficulties on the settled approaches. Before travelling, ask whether the car can remain for the complete day and agree conditions with the landholder. Keep allotment gates, private entrances and woodland passage clear.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 273 м.
SurfaceDirt 56%, Unknown 44%.
Риски Expect very steep descents and ascents. Pace the complete circuit and external approach without using up spare strength at the first viewpoint. After rain, take extra care on ground surfaces, rock ledges and stream sections. Check each stream crossing for the travel day; a sound bridge or safe ford is unconfirmed. Stay on stable ridge paths without climbing neighbouring walls. Crossing the Bazaikha on the external Marble Quarry approach needs a separate decision; the woodland circuit itself does not cross that river.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 2 h 9 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Time for the route | Unestablished With stops | Unestablished A single confirmed plan including external approaches and viewing pauses is unestablished. Allow separately for reaching the woodland junction, the ridge with its viewpoint and Luch, descending into the gully and returning to transport. Do not automatically add caving branches or a different Bazaikha approach. Present slope and water conditions matter more than completing a fixed timetable. Begin with spare daylight and prepare the option to shorten the plan before entering difficult terrain.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Dry snow-free weather with clear views suits a first visit. Check streams and slippery ground in spring and after rain. The organiser warns of ticks in the warm season. Wet autumn leaves conceal rock, and shorter daylight reduces the external-approach reserve. Winter requires a separate assessment of snow and ice on steep slopes. An ice crossing of the Bazaikha is outside this woodland plan.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Footwear with grip, woodland clothing, a layer for ridge wind and rain protection.
Drinking water, food and reserves for the complete outing with external approaches; a mapped spring is not an established drinking-water supply.
A junction map, compass, headlamp, charged phone and backup power.
First-aid supplies, seasonal tick protection and a waste bag.
A prepared return to the chosen settled side; leave separate grottoes and ascents for independently checked outings.
