Route description

The Brest spring circuit begins its regional introduction on the northern roads. Beyond the city blocks come villages, a crossing of the Lesnaya and rural sections around the Lyutaya and Stashovka. Pashuki offers a clear historic reference in St Andrew Church, seen from the road side. The course then continues towards Kamenyuki, connecting a substantial ride from Brest with the surroundings of Bialowieza Forest. Beyond Kamenyuki, the road turns west towards Verkhovichi. A surviving granary stands beside the village passage, offering an introduction to local history beyond the region’s best-known monuments. The southern section returns to the Lesnaya before reaching the Transfiguration monastery complex in Khmelevo. Arrange entry separately and leave room for a quiet stop if you wish to visit the monastery. The circuit returns to Brest through Zhabinka. This Brest Spring 2024 variant suits a prepared cyclist interested in different sides of one region: rivers, small towns and religious landmarks. Before departure, confirm present permitted passage through the border zone and the service connection north of Brest; the former brevet’s publication alone does not establish current access.

Nearby

Kamenets Tower and the historic centre of Kamenets need a separate visit; this road circuit does not establish a tower visit. Bialowieza Forest visitor paths, museum and animal enclosures also require their own agreed approach. Temple interiors and the monastery courtyard in Khmelevo are not automatically included. Historic shop control points do not establish current opening times or water supplies. A related Brest variant from 2026 covers almost the same locality and has its own route page.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Arrival in Brest can be linked with Brest Central station. A separate urban approach leads from the station to the fuel-station beginning. Check bicycle carriage and your train before buying tickets; the boarding platform is not the road circuit’s start. Allow for delays and agreed alternative connections before your return service.
By car
The beginning and return are around Fuel Station No 17 at 20 Aviatsionny Lane. Use a currently permitted approach and agreed arrangements for a drop-off. After unloading bicycles, do not leave a vehicle on the fuel-station grounds without the owner’s agreement. Check collection along the intermediate roads and access for a support vehicle separately.
Parking
Present parking is unconfirmed. Agree a lawful place for the vehicle throughout the outing before travelling. Former organiser suggestions do not establish current availability. Account for the State Border Committee’s separate requirements if choosing a site within the border zone.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainДанные по набору высоты уточняются.
SurfaceAsphalt 63%, Paving stones 2%, Dirt 2%, Unknown 28%.
Риски The principal demands are sustained riding, motor traffic and independence between confirmed services. Do not convert widely spaced road references into shortcuts across fields. A service connection north of Brest has restricted access; present permitted passage for the full outing is unconfirmed. Establish a lawful alternative, current traffic directions at junctions and equipped railway crossings before departure. Kamenyuki and Verkhovichi encounter the border zone. Foreign visitors permanently residing outside Belarus require a travel identity document and the relevant pass; different rules and documents apply to citizens and residents. Begin the full circuit only after confirming the affected area and permitted passage.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 18 h 24 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Verified route time is not established. Historically Brest Spring 2024 was a one-day brevet with a morning start and an evening finish closure. Event regulations are not a tourist travel-time calculation. Allow for landmark stops, meals, repairs and possible permitted alternatives. If dividing the circuit over several days, arrange accommodation and daily stages separately.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Settled dry weather without snow or ice is convenient. The original event’s April date does not establish road conditions in a later April. Wind and daylight matter on exposed rural sections, while forest sections can be affected by rain. Check border-zone access and present road restrictions in any season.
