Route description

The May correction of the Brest brevet forms a broad road circuit from the Kobrin side towards Lyskovo, the forest Narew and old Kamenets. Leaving Brest, the journey first heads east through Zhabinka. The Mukhavets crossing on the Kobrin side and the subsequent road towards Pruzhany establish the rural and river character of the first section; a detailed walk through Kobrin’s centre needs a separate approach. Beyond Pruzhany, the road reaches the Yaselda and then Lyskovo. The walls of Holy Trinity Church and the Missionaries’ Monastery building stand close to the way. Take time to notice their exteriors before continuing towards the Zelvyanka and Ros. The Porozovo outskirts provide a turning reference: the circuit then changes direction towards the Narew, Shereshevo and woodland sections of Bialowieza National Park. Shereshevo brings St Nicholas Church, while the Left Lesnaya marks the return towards Kamenets. Kamenets offers more than its famous tower. Beside the town street stand the former Ossovsky pharmacy with its columns and Vigutov’s old merchant house. Their surviving facades reveal the everyday history of the small town. Beyond the Lesnaya, the return passes Chernavchitsy, where the main facade of Holy Trinity Church faces the road. This corrected May variant suits a prepared cyclist who agrees present passage through the park and border areas, together with rest arrangements, beforehand.

Nearby

Kamenets Tower and its museum, Kobrin’s centre, the Pruzhany palace complex and the churches in Porozovo’s centre are separate visits. The former Porozovo control was beside a road fuel station, rather than a town tour. Franciszek Karpiński’s grave by the Lyskovo ensemble lies away from an ordinary roadside passage. Arrange internal Bialowieza programmes and entry into churches, merchant houses and ruins separately. The former pharmacy name identifies a historic building and does not guarantee present pharmacy services; old control points do not establish food supplies today.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Brest Central is a confirmed railway reference for arrival. Reaching the Aviatsionny Lane beginning requires a separate urban approach. Before buying a ticket, check bicycle carriage, your chosen train and a margin after returning. Intermediate departure with a bicycle from the Kobrin side, Pruzhany or Kamenets has not been independently checked.
By car
The beginning is referenced by Fuel Station No 17 at 20 Aviatsionny Lane. Check present signs and the owner’s requirements for a drop-off. A location beside the fuel station does not establish permission to leave a vehicle for the entire outing. Parking
Present parking has not been confirmed. Agree the period of leaving a vehicle and access after a late return with the chosen parking owner. The fuel-station grounds are not checked long-stay parking. Confirm the State Border Committee’s present additional requirements within the border zone.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 65 м.
SurfaceAsphalt 79%, Paving stones 4%, Compacted dirt 4%, Unknown 11%.
Риски Extended independent riding on vehicle roads requires endurance, confident bicycle handling and repair skills. Do not shorten bends across fields, railways or other people’s grounds. The forest section encounters Bialowieza National Park: confirm the permitted specific roads, stops and overnight arrangements with its administration. Present lawful complete passage has not been established. The course also encounters the border zone. Foreign visitors permanently residing outside Belarus require a travel identity document and a pass under State Border Committee rules; separate rules apply to citizens and residents. This circuit provides no entry to Poland. An exterior stop at Lyskovo Church does not establish safe access inside the ruins.

A day-by-day plan for the multi-day outing is not established. Allocate the eastern road towards Pruzhany, a Lyskovo stop, the forest section and old Kamenets according to preparation and confirmed accommodation. The historic brevet allowed a late return, but its sporting finish closure is not present visitor travel time. Agree sleep, meals, repairs and a reserve for permitted alternatives. For a late arrival in Brest, check access to the chosen rest place beforehand.
