Route description

Brest Spring 2023 leads towards Khmelevo and Verkhovichi, connecting its forest section with Pashuki. The road leaves the city for Khmelevo’s monastic ensemble. Notice its exterior beside the way, arranging any church or grounds visit separately. Lesnaya crossings and rural roads follow across the western part of the region. In Verkhovichi, look for the historic granary beside the village road. The surviving farm building introduces the everyday history of estates and small towns beyond their better-known palaces. Further along comes St Andrew Church in Pashuki, whose exterior adds an architectural pause to the woodland surroundings. The Kamenyuki side and Bialowieza sections change the journey’s character; Stashovka and Lyutaya crossings distinguish the return roads. This is a substantial independent cycling outing requiring preparation and confirmed permitted connections. Before departure, agree the particular forest and border-zone roads, food arrangements and return to Brest.

Entry inside Khmelevo monastery and Pashuki church, Verkhovichi estate grounds, forest animal enclosures and visitor programmes require separate arrangements. A historic control name does not include a Kamenets Tower visit. The granary is an exterior reference without assurance of a museum or safe interior. Former control shops and fuel stations do not guarantee present water or food.

The beginning is referenced by Fuel Station No 17 at 20 Aviatsionny Lane. Check present signs for drop-off and access. Agree intermediate road support beforehand, accounting for the border-zone regime; the outing does not establish unrestricted vehicle access into protected woodland.
Parking

Restricted service sections occur north of Brest and on the intermediate arc: present permitted connections and complete passage have not been confirmed. Check lawful alternatives and railway crossings. Agree Bialowieza roads and stops with its administration. Foreign visitors permanently residing outside Belarus need a travel identity document and a border-zone pass under State Border Committee rules; separate requirements apply to citizens and residents.
