Route description

The reverse northern circuit introduces the region from the Kobrin side, leaving the Bialowieza forest section for the return. From Brest, the road passes Zhabinka, crosses the Mukhavets and follows the Pruzhany side towards the Yaselda. In Lyskovo, the Missionaries’ Monastery building and old Trinity Church stand beside the way. Pause outside the historic ensemble before continuing north towards Volkovysk. Volkovysk brings the Bagration bust in front of the military-history museum house. The Ros lies ahead, followed by central Bolshaya Berestovitsa and the road towards Svisloch. This sequence makes the urban section a distinct chapter: historic references give way to river valleys, with woodland following the northern small towns. Through the Porozovo outskirts, the circuit returns towards the Narew, Shereshevo and Bialowieza roads. The Left Lesnaya crossing leads towards the Kamenets side; in Chernavchitsy, Trinity Church’s road-facing facade marks the last historic stop before Brest. The reverse variant offers a different sequence of places. Before departure, confirm the permitted direction, passage through protected and border areas, rest stops and accommodation.

Nearby

Kobrin and Porozovo town centres, Pruzhany palace museums, Kamenets Tower, internal Bialowieza programmes and Volkovysk museum exhibitions are separate visits. Porozovo referred to a historic road control, rather than an included approach to the central churches. Franciszek Karpiński’s grave and entry inside the Lyskovo ensemble also require separate planning. Former control shops and fuel stations do not guarantee present food, water or accommodation.

Difficult sections and safety

SurfaceAsphalt 70%, Paving stones 6%, Improved surface 5%, Unknown 13%.
Риски Reverse order does not automatically establish permitted movement on every vehicle road. Check the present direction, allowed connections and railway crossings before departure. Endurance, independent repairs and working lights are necessary. The course encounters Bialowieza National Park: agree specific permitted roads, stops and accommodation with its administration. Present lawful complete passage has not been established. The border zone is also encountered. Foreign visitors permanently residing outside Belarus need a travel identity document and a pass under State Border Committee rules; citizens and residents have separate requirements. The circuit contains no international crossing. An exterior Lyskovo stop does not establish safe access inside the ruins.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 1 d 12 h
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
A day-by-day plan for the multi-day outing is not established. Lyskovo and Volkovysk come before the northern section, while Shereshevo and the forest belong to the return; account for this sequence when choosing confirmed overnight places and support. Historic direct-brevet deadlines do not replace a plan for the reverse visitor outing. Allow separately for food, sleep, sightseeing, repairs and permitted connections.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose settled warm weather without snow or ice. The historic summer event does not establish access to the reverse direction or forest on every date. Northern open roads are exposed to wind; woodland conditions depend on rain and surfaces. Riding in darkness requires reliable lighting and a rest place agreed beforehand.
