Route description

This journey from Brest to the Neman begins on the Kamenets side. Old town facades give way to the road towards Shereshevo, where St Nicholas Church stands beside the course. Woodland then leads across the Narew to Porozovo, whose former stone synagogue and Trinity Church add small-town history to the rural passages. Volkovysk, the Ros and a northern arc towards Skidel lie ahead. Crossing the Neman opens another chapter: the Skidalka, Kotra and Turya punctuate the road, while central Shchuchin brings St Teresa Church and Archangel Michael Church close to the street. Their contrasting silhouettes reward a town pause before the journey turns back towards the Neman. After the Shchuchin branch, the circuit bends towards Zelva and Ruzhany. Here, Holy Trinity Church beside the road recalls Lew Sapieha. The Yaselda and Mukhavets accompany the return by the Beryoza and Kobrin sides. In the 2022 version, the wooded northwest comes before Shchuchin and Ruzhany, making the homeward journey a substantial historical chapter of its own.

The palaces in Ruzhany and Kossovo, Shchuchin Palace and Kamenets Tower deserve separate programmes; passing through their towns does not include visits. Arrange church interiors and museum-ground access independently. Historic control locations do not guarantee current shops, drinking water or accommodation.

Use Brest Central for railway arrival. The road beginning at the Aviatsionny Lane fuel station is separate from the station. Check trains and bicycle carriage before travel. Allow flexibility for departure after several stages; intermediate transport with a bicycle from Skidel, Shchuchin or Zelva has not been established.
By car
The original event identifies Fuel Station No 17 at 20 Aviatsionny Lane. Check present signs for lawful approach and drop-off. Arrange support at permitted road locations near settlements. The circuit does not establish vehicle access into woodland, onto riverbanks or within the border zone.
Parking
Present parking has not been confirmed. Agree a place in Brest and access to your vehicle on return. Leaving a car at the starting fuel station for several days has not been independently established.

Риски Experience of long cycling journeys, independent repairs and a sustainable rest routine are necessary. Traffic, wind-exposed roads and fatigue can complicate otherwise straightforward sections. Lawful complete passage today has not been confirmed: check service connections, railway crossings and access to the affected Bialowieza roads. Border-zone documents and passes depend on citizenship and permanent residence. This circuit remains within Belarus. Riverbank access, swimming and woodland overnight stays have not been established.
