Route description

Leaving Brest, this broad circuit heads towards the Mukhavets before turning towards the Pruzhany area and Lyskovo. The village road brings you to the old walls of Holy Trinity Church and the neighbouring Missionaries’ Monastery building. Begin with an exterior look: the church silhouette makes a persuasive case for pausing in little Lyskovo during a much larger journey. The road then reaches the Volkovysk side and turns back through Porozovo. Its street introduces two distinct landmarks, Holy Trinity Church and the stone building of the former synagogue. Woodland and the Narew crossing change the mood again. Kamenets provides the next town chapter: look for the columns of the former Ossovsky Pharmacy and the facade of Vigutov’s merchant house. The western branch continues to the Pulva and brings you back to Brest from another direction. This is the 2022 version refined after the May reconnaissance, combining Lyskovo’s ensemble, Porozovo’s historic street and a western return. Leave enough room in your plans for these modest architectural stops to become memorable parts of the journey.

Nearby

Kamenets Tower, the Bogudenki estate in Porozovo and a fuller exploration of Vysokoye require separate approaches. The monastery building and former synagogue are street views; arrange interiors independently. Supplies at former event controls have not been confirmed.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Brest Central railway station is the arrival reference. The fuel-station beginning on Aviatsionny Lane requires a separate approach. Check that connection, bicycle carriage and trains for your date. Allow a generous margin for your return train; intermediate departure with a bicycle has not been confirmed.
By car
For meeting in Brest, use Fuel Station No 17 at 20 Aviatsionny Lane as the road reference. Arrange drop-off on a permitted site. Plan support near Lyskovo, Porozovo and Kamenets in advance, choosing safe locations away from moving traffic. Check vehicle access to woodland and border areas separately.
Parking
Present parking has not been confirmed. Agree a location and the period of leaving a vehicle with its owner in Brest. A fuel station beside the beginning does not establish permission to leave a car for the entire journey.

SurfaceAsphalt 76%, Paving stones 5%, Compacted dirt 3%, Unknown 11%.
Риски Expect a long independent ride with vehicle traffic, accumulating fatigue and possible travel after dark. Verify permitted connections north of Brest and on the western branch: restricted service roads occur near the course. Lawful uninterrupted passage today has not been established. Check current visitor arrangements for the affected Bialowieza sections. Do not enter the Lyskovo church ruins without permission and a condition assessment. Border-zone documents depend on citizenship and residence; foreign visitors permanently residing outside Belarus also require a pass. The circuit crosses no international border.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 1 d 12 h
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
A day-by-day plan for the multi-day outing is not established. Choose stages with confirmed accommodation and time for repairs and weather. The historic brevet allowed continuous sporting completion from daytime or night starts; its cutoff is not a visitor itinerary. Keep daylight for the exterior stops in Lyskovo, Porozovo and Kamenets.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose settled weather without snow or ice and confirm access to the required roads. The variant’s May origin does not mean every woodland section is dry in spring. Allow for headwinds on the western return and for rain and diminishing daylight when choosing stages.
