Route description

From Ashu-Kashka-Suu, this stage reaches Juuku and follows the broad valley upstream. The river journey gradually approaches Dungurome, another water landmark on the way towards upper Terskey Ala-Too. It offers a sense of the transition from approach gorges to high-pass country, with running water remaining the journey’s main thread. Juuku gives the stage its own rhythm: riverside walking alternates with slope bypasses as more of the upper valley opens ahead. Dungurome is an important point for choosing what comes next. Finish the approach stage here or continue towards Juuku Pass, with that ascent planned separately. Dungurome Lake lies higher and is not automatically included in this valley section.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 423 м.
SurfaceDirt 66%, Unknown 34%.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 6 h 39 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
A preliminary allowance is one long walking day for a fit group, or two gentler stages with a camp. No published duration has been found for this line; decide according to crossings and camp location. Add the Ashu-Kashka-Suu approach and onward travel beyond Dungurome.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose a warm period with manageable river levels for the valley stage. Early and late season need upper-valley snow checks. If continuing to Juuku Pass, plan the season around the highest part of the whole journey rather than lower-road weather.
