Route description

From upper Jeti-Oguz, this walk heads towards Kok-Zhaiyk and west to Aksay Pass, also known as Kok-Djar. Beyond it lies the Chon-Kyzyl-Suu side. It is a distinct way to connect neighbouring Terskey Ala-Too valleys: Aksay, rather than higher Archa-Tor, provides the key reference. The crossing explores pasture and valley country between familiar tourist names, leaving Jeti-Oguz’s red rocks for a separate stop farther downstream.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - No With a dog - No data By bike - No data With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data This suits prepared adults able to plan overnight stops and a valley crossing. Rides are needed on opposite sides; travelling without your own car works with an agreed driver. Dog rules and bicycle access have not been verified.

Nearby

The Seven Bulls red rocks lie below the start and belong to a separate visit. Archa-Tor connects the same valleys by a different, more southerly crossing; replacing Aksay with it requires a new plan.

SurfaceGravel 12%, Dirt / grass 9%, Improved surface 6%, Unknown 72%.
Риски Do not confuse Aksay with Archa-Tor or other passes in the same valleys: their approaches and schedules differ. Rain can make earth and stones slippery, while water crossings need a fresh conditions check. Agree an overnight site and an early-exit option before departure.
