Route description

This collection explores Digoria’s mountain valleys through separate outings. Kharesidon leads towards Chifandzar Wetland and upper Orsdon with Soldat Waterfall. Tana valley reveals glacial history, bent birch woodland and waterfalls below a retreating glacier. On the eastern side, an independent ascent follows Gebidon, while the lower Kharesidon approach visits Galdoridon. These walks have different starts and returns; they do not form a ready-made continuous circle. Choose a mountain base, agree every complete outing and keep the days flexible around weather. Digoria then unfolds through specific gorges instead of a hurried passage between them.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - No With a dog - No data By bike - No With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data These are several mountain outings with different starts and separate returns. Arrange travel between bases, check crossings and bring experience of a long mountain day. Dog rules and reception across all parts are unconfirmed.

Nearby

Karaugom valley and Paradise Meadow lie in another direction and need a separate Dzinaga-side outing. Crossing Shtulu into Kabardino-Balkaria likewise requires its own mountain plan rather than an automatic continuation.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The administration describes independent arrival at Tana Park and Komy Art, including public transport, but a present service and travel between all starts are separately unconfirmed. Agree base-to-base transfers and returns beforehand.
By car
Official lower approaches use the Tana Park and Komy Art areas. Confirm suitable drop-offs when agreeing each outing. Upper valleys require walking; arrival at one start does not provide access to every other start.
Parking
The administration confirms parking at the entrance to the short Galdoridon nature trail. Check suitability for this programme, lengthy storage and other starts separately; a single verified parking place for all outings is unavailable.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 1603 м.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски Assess each outing separately because river crossings, upper slopes and return options differ. The Gebidon ascent finishes above the valley bases and needs a safe return of its own. Avoid direct shortcuts across missing mountain connections. A visit to Tana valley does not establish access onto ice. Obtain required permissions and border documents; agree overnight stays or a pass continuation with the administration.

How much time to allow

Time for the route | Not established for all outings With stops | Not established Use 4 days as a starting framework for separate outings: lower Kharesidon and Galdoridon; Chifandzar with upper Orsdon; Tana valley; and upper Gebidon. The total time is unestablished because the selected parts omit some returns and moves between starts. A multi-day plan for the complete passage has not been established. Agree each complete day, especially the upper-Gebidon return, before arranging the order around weather.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose snow-free conditions and days without a thunderstorm forecast. High water can close one outing while a neighbouring lower nature trail remains accessible. Assign the more exposed upper valleys to the most settled days.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Mountain footwear, waterproofs, warm layers and sun protection.
Water and food for every independent day, a first-aid kit and a headlamp.
Offline maps of all approaches and returns, backup power and agreed permit documents.
