Route description

The selected direction begins on the lower Monastyr side, climbs a working dirt road and continues through woodland to Ivanovsky Waterfall on the Psakho. The road recalls older valley cultivation: the park connects this direction with walnut plantings of former settlements. At the end, working-road character gives way to footpaths and steps near the water. Valley return is excluded, so calculate stamina and departure after the complete return separately. The park announced the Ivanovsky recreational object closed in 2023; no primary reopening confirmation was found. Later nature descriptions do not replace permission. Agree permitted territory and waterfall-side access before travelling, without bypassing barriers. The leopard restoration centre occupies a separate side and is excluded.

Route suitability

Without a car - Hard With children - With caution With a dog - No By bike - No With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data The field author names Monastyr lower bus arrival, with present services and permission requiring checks. Children need stamina for the long climb and return, plus final-path experience. Dogs and bicycles are prohibited at recreational objects; the final stairway does not suit a stroller. Continuous reception is unknown.

Nearby

The lower wet Psakho canyon is an independent attraction with a different entrance. The leopard restoration centre requires its own arrangements and is excluded from this woodland approach. Historical sites near Lesnoye and the Monastyr side are also separate visits requiring access checks.

Getting there

Difficult sections and safety

Elevation gain
Resolve present permission first: the official announcement closes the recreational object, without a later reopening confirmation found. Respect prohibitory signs. Account for working vehicles on the dirt road and wet final steps near water. Heavy rain can rapidly raise the river and increase rockfall or falling branches. Swimming and leopard-centre admission are excluded.

How much time to allow

Time for the route | Unestablished With stops | Unestablished Complete duration depends on confirmed permission and the woodland finish. Independent return is excluded from this direction. Calculate lower arrival, the full climb, permitted stop and return before departure separately; the short lower Psakho canyon allowance does not apply.

Best time to go

Choose settled weather and dry ground only after permitted visiting is confirmed. Rain softens soil and raises the Psakho, while strong wind increases woodland hazards. A geographic waterfall description and mild coastal winter do not establish year-round permission.

What to bring
