Route description

This internal gorge direction starts at the upper junction, passes Agura’s cascade area, then reaches Devil’s Pool and the lower entrance side. Examine the waterfall steps visible from the path and their limestone setting; the park explicitly says the middle fall is invisible from the trail. Devil’s Pool is a separate lower stop, with its narrow channel and rocky basin remaining interesting in low water. Small side portions require their own permission check and do not create a ready complete return. The ecological path is currently closed, and the published Agura Gorge weather restriction lasts until favourable conditions. Complete passage cannot be promised before removal of restrictions is confirmed. Arrange the separate upper-start approach and lower departure in advance.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - With caution With a dog - No By bike - No With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data The start is already inside the upper gorge and needs a separately permitted approach. Children require experience and supervision beside stone and drops. The official passport specifies walking; a stroller is unsuitable. Dogs and bicycles are prohibited at recreational objects; present complete permission and continuous reception are unestablished.

Nearby

Eagle Rocks and Prometheus occupy a separate upper branch whose ecological status is also closed. Big Akhun requires another approach, and its tower is closed for reconstruction. Devil’s Hole entrance is inaccessible and is excluded from a pool visit.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The park names lower Sputnik Bus Stop and a separate asphalt-road approach to Agura Gorge Checkpoint. Check present services. This does not deliver you to the selected upper junction: resolve its permitted approach and return separately, accounting for the closure.
By car
The official lower approach leaves A 147 towards Big Akhun, then follows the gorge road to the checkpoint. Check this side after verifying the weather closure. Lower vehicle arrival does not establish driving to the internal upper junction.
Parking
The official passport names a lower vehicle area before the Agura bridge. Check present permission, terms and spaces beforehand: a weather closure covers the gorge territory. Lower parking does not replace separate arrival at the upper start.

Devil’s Pool the named rocky basin by the lower gorge portion, viewed from the path.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainДанные по набору высоты уточняются.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски Confirm removal of the weather closure and permitted territory first; a closed ecological path does not reopen merely because city weather is fine. Rain brings slippery limestone, rockfall and rapidly rising water. Avoid improvised fords and resting beneath overhangs. The middle fall and Devil’s Hole are inaccessible stops; do not approach them off the path.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 53 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Time for the route | Unestablished With stops | Unestablished Present complete permission and the upper-start approach are unconfirmed. The standard passport describes a different radial return excursion, so its duration was not transferred. After agreeing a permitted portion, calculate upper approach, gorge stops and lower departure separately.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose settled weather after reopening is confirmed. Rain upstream may raise water beneath a clear lower sky. Drought reduces cascade flow: the park reported partial drying in August 2026, so check present water independently before a new visit.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Closed grippy footwear, rain protection and a warm layer.
Water, food, headlamp, first aid and separate upper-approach map.
