Route description

This direction reveals Kislovodsk Park from its upper slopes down to the town. The paths by the Blue Rocks area lead to Seven Winds Gazebo, where a dome and columns stand on an exposed platform and show how far the spa park extends into the hills. The walk then passes the Red Sun side and gradually returns to more sheltered avenues. Pause at Red Rocks for the sandstone itself: iron compounds give it a warm colour, and its shapes are best examined from the path. The finish beside Narzan Gallery brings the outing back to the old city centre. This is a separate descent after an independently planned upper approach, rather than a compulsory climb from the gallery followed by an immediate return.

Route at a glance

Главное за минуту
The upper rotunda and Red Rocks reveal different park settings: an exposed hillside and more intimate sandstone corners among the avenues. A finish beside spa architecture gives the descent a clear town-side conclusion.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
The upper start requires a separate ascent, followed by a sustained descent with stairs. Children need secure footing and an accompanying adult; stairs without ramps are unsuitable for an ordinary stroller. Dogs require a lead. The passport reports coverage for the main mobile networks, rather than guaranteed reception on every device.

Nearby

Little Saddle belongs to a separate continuation of the Tourist Path and is excluded from this descent. Entering Narzan Gallery requires checking its opening hours. Rose Valley can be added as a separate branch with its own walking and exit allowance.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The park confirms arrival by rail in Kislovodsk and a walking approach from the station to Narzan Gallery. The upper descent start requires a separate ascent through the park. Cable-car operation and transport to upper platforms are not guaranteed here; confirm them separately if you intend to avoid the uphill walk.
By car
Use the official A 157 city approach to Kislovodsk. Leave the car outside the walking avenues and reach the upper start separately. Visitor driving to Seven Winds is unconfirmed; add the approach time to the outing.
Parking
The official passport identifies city parking beside the Lower Park. This provides town-side storage rather than parking at the upper gazebo. Confirm terms and available spaces, then choose a separate way to reach the descent start.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainДанные по набору высоты уточняются.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски The selected descent includes stairs, some without ramps. Wet steps, ice and sustained strain on knees require an unhurried pace. Stay back from cliff edges when taking photographs; strong wind can affect the upper gazebo. Overall effort deserves attention even when walking downhill.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Time for the route 1.5–2.5 h
With stops | 3–4 h This editorial allowance covers the descent from the upper Blue Rocks-side paths through Seven Winds to Narzan Gallery. Reaching the upper start is excluded. The official third terrenkur timing describes the reverse uphill direction. Stops at the rocks and gazebo extend the outing; allow an unhurried stair descent.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose dry weather, good visibility and little wind in the upper park. Spring and autumn require particular attention to morning ice; winter safety depends on the stairs’ condition. Plan the upper sections in daylight.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Grippy footwear and familiar poles for the sustained descent.
A windproof jacket and an extra layer for the upper platform.
Water, food and a headlamp as a reserve for delays, rather than a night-walking plan.
