Route description

This version of terrenkur 2 B can occupy much of a walking day in Kislovodsk Park. Lower avenues first provide the approach to the long circuit, gradually giving way to woodland paths and a quieter side of the Dzhinal slopes. The particular destination deeper in the park is Thuja Alley, also called Lovers’ Alley. Treat it as a named place to find rather than walking through the whole forest expecting another broad lookout. The farther section skirts Wide Gully, returns towards the Rose Valley side and eventually reaches the lower avenues again. Some familiar sections are followed back; this order preserves a clear return towards the town after the woodland circuit.

Route at a glance

Главное за минуту
Thuja Alley gives the walk a specific destination, while the longer woodland section reveals the park beyond its busiest lower paths. Retracing the approach towards the town suits a day ending on a familiar park side.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
The longer version with a retained return approach suits children accustomed to sustained walking. Its duration, woodland paths and gradients make it inconvenient for an ordinary stroller outing. Keep dogs on a lead; a terrenkur number does not establish cycling designation. Reception follows the park’s 2025 assessment.

Nearby

Red Mushrooms and the Tourist Path towards Little Saddle require separate branches and are not promised here. Rose Valley lies on the returning side; reaching its particular viewing platforms adds a separate approach. Leave Narzan Gallery’s interior for an independent city stop.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The park confirms rail arrival at Kislovodsk Railway Station and the walking approach to Narzan Gallery. Reach the chosen lower-avenue start separately. Check the evening journey home beforehand rather than rushing a long outing around an unverified departure.
By car
Follow the A 157 city approach to Kislovodsk’s lower park side. Internal walking avenues are not a vehicle shortcut to Thuja Alley. Plan the car journey and the last walking approach to the start separately.
Parking
The passport lists city parking beside the Lower Park. Confirm full-day storage terms and availability before setting off. Parking beside Thuja Alley or in the wooded circuit is unconfirmed.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainДанные по набору высоты уточняются.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски The principal demand is the complete duration, including the lower approach and return. Woodland paths can become muddy and slippery after rain; short daylight makes it easy to underestimate the return to town. Stay on paths, protect the planted slopes and avoid fires. Assess the farther sections after bad weather.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Time for the route 3.5–4.5 h
With stops | 5–6 h This covers the complete selected version: the lower approach, long park circuit and return along familiar avenues. It exceeds the standard passport version, so the official 2–3 hours are not transferred automatically. Plan 1 day of walking with daylight to spare; travel to Kislovodsk and the station approach are separate.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose a dry period with sufficient daylight. Woodland can feel more comfortable than the open lower avenues in heat, but carry water for the entire selected circuit. Winter and post-rain conditions require separate assessment; the official terrenkur name does not guarantee dry surfaces.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Footwear for sustained walking with a grippy sole.
Water and food for the full day without assuming a shop in the farther woodland.
Rain protection, a warm layer and a map showing the circuit and town-side return.
