Route description

From Kislovodsk station, the circuit first crosses the city towards the southern park side, then climbs Kosygin Path to the rocky corners of the Dzhinal ridge. Look for a familiar outline in Rock Man, continue past Master of the Mountains beside the path, and meet the natural grottoes farther along. This sequence reveals a less formal side of the park, where winding paths take precedence over flower beds. Different park paths complete the return to the city station. The author intended a mountain-bike outing. Check every park section before repeating it: cycling is allowed only on specifically designated portions. Walkers also need permitted pavements rather than automatically following the same urban carriageways. Visiting the Rose Valley flower beds requires an additional branch excluded from this circuit.

Route suitability

The city station serves both arrival and return. The complete circuit requires stamina for the upper path and experience beside traffic. Cycling depends on checking every park section: marked cycling portions do not authorize the rest of the park. Keep dogs on a lead. Upper paths are unsuitable for a stroller; continuous reception is unconfirmed.

Nearby

Rose Valley flower beds require a separate branch. Narzan Gallery can be visited independently after checking opening arrangements. Small Saddle summit and Seven Winds Gazebo also require their own deviations from the selected upper paths.

Getting there

Show on map
Without a car
Arrive at Kislovodsk Railway Station, beside the circuit start and finish. The park confirms rail arrival and the Karl Marx Street walking approach. Check current departures and bicycle carriage before travelling.
By car
A 157 serves Kislovodsk. End the vehicle journey in the city and reach the station separately. Upper park paths do not authorize an onward visitor drive.
Parking
Verified parking information for this station circuit is unavailable. Arrange vehicle storage in the city beforehand; a park entrance area is not established as parking.

Difficult sections and safety

Elevation gain
Watch for vehicles and pedestrian restrictions on urban carriageways. Upper bends, uneven ground and oncoming visitors require slow movement. The author’s bicycle does not override park rules; if complete permitted passage is unconfirmed, do not improvise an unauthorized alternative. Check grip after rain or frost and avoid unstable rock edges.

How much time to allow

Time for the route | Unestablished With stops | Unestablished Complete duration depends on the agreed method of using park paths and a safe urban approach. Short allowances for individual terrenkurs do not describe the whole station circuit. Plan daylight and a reserve; an additional Rose Valley visit requires separate time.

Best time to go

Choose a dry, snow-free day without ice for the upper portion. Heavy rain changes earthy bends and rock approaches. A winter circuit needs separate surface assessment; Rose Valley flowering belongs to an additional independent visit.

What to bring

Grippy footwear and clothing for the forecast.
Water, food, rain protection and a headlamp for the complete circuit.
