Route description

The Eastern Entrance has been closed to trail access since 11 September 2026; only Granite Quarry remains accessible. The Blue variant around Takmak is also absent from the list of separately approved itineraries. Takmak is easily recognised from Krasnoyarsk, but seeing it close up changes your sense of its scale. The main rock rises from a shared ridge whose individual summits have their own names, with cracks and ledges woven into Stolby climbing history. The Blue approach reaches the eastern side of this formation and passes close to Takmak itself. Its interest lies in the rock's shape at close quarters. The climbing lines are demanding and ascents are currently prohibited.

City transport serves the entrance, but this itinerary is closed. Park rules prohibit pets and bicycles. The trail is unsuitable for strollers; continuous mobile coverage is unconfirmed.

Nearby

Granite Quarry is the only Eastern Entrance area explicitly left open by the temporary closure notice. Bobrovy Log recreation complex serves another approach to the park; an operating chairlift does not imply permission to walk to Takmak.

By car
Approach the Eastern Entrance via Bazayskaya Street, using the national park entrance as your destination. At present, drive here for a permitted Granite Quarry visit only, without continuing onto closed trails.
Parking
The Eastern Entrance has a designated car park. Use marked spaces and follow signs on site; parking does not grant access to a closed trail.
