Route description

Camí de sa Capelleta explores the rural side of the Sóller valley. Walking south from the northern start, you pass Font de sa Mel·lera, the small stone chapel of Sa Capelleta and the neighbouring Santa Maria de l’Olivar complex, then continue towards town. The main pause comes midway through the outing: stop beside the chapel, look closely at its stonework and take in the valley before returning to the country path.

Route at a glance

Главное за минуту
Sa Capelleta gives the walk a particular focus: a small chapel worth examining closely rather than a long list of museum stops. Its modernist design and history belong to the local community. If you arrange access, the grotto-like interior adds another reason to linger; when the door is closed, the exterior remains a worthwhile stop along the way.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car: Hard With children: With caution With a dog: No data By bike: No With a stroller: No Mobile signal: No data Allow for an additional walk from Sóller to the northern start. Set a pace children can manage on the actual ground and keep the religious complex quiet. A convenient continuous stroller route has not been established. Ask the managers about dogs; pedestrian access alone does not establish animal rules.

Nearby

Explore central Sóller afterwards by continuing separately from the southern end. Port de Sóller lies in another direction and needs an additional journey; the seaside is outside this walk. Contact the parish beforehand if you want more time at Santa Maria de l’Olivar. Walking past the complex does not replace a booking or an agreement about entry.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
TIB204 connects Sóller with Palma and Port de Sóller. Sóller centre1 serves the return towards Palma; check the line map for the opposite direction’s boarding and alighting point. The northern start needs a separate approach from town, so plan the full walk before choosing the bus. Check services and stop changes for the date of travel.
By car
Plan to arrive through Sóller and approach on foot. The walk starts in the countryside and ends south of the chapel, so allow for a separate return to your car. Authorised driving along the pedestrian route has not been established. If you have arranged a visit to the spiritual centre, ask the parish about any permitted vehicle approach.
Parking
Verified public parking directly at the northern start has not been established. Choose a legal space in Sóller and include the approach, or arrange a place with your accommodation provider. Discuss parking within the spiritual centre’s grounds with its managers; an empty space by a gate does not establish permission to leave a car.

What to expect

Places
Font de sa Mel·lera the named spring beside the rural path; the water’s drinking quality is unconfirmed.
Sa Capelleta Chapel the small modernist stone chapel that makes the walk’s principal stop.
Santa Maria de l’Olivar the neighbouring religious complex, now a spiritual centre; arrange access to its rooms separately.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 70 м.
SurfaceDirt / grass 7%, Unknown 93%.
Риски Watch your footing on stone and earth after rain, especially downhill. Country paths may meet beside houses: use the marked passage and avoid shortcuts across private land. At the chapel, distinguish the walking route from access to a closed courtyard. Plan the continuation to town before setting out so you do not have to search for an exit at dusk.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 51 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Set aside part of the day for an unhurried walk and a pause at the chapel. Add the approach from central Sóller to the northern start and the return after the southern end. An arranged visit to the spiritual centre needs its own time and is not automatically part of the walk. Select the return bus after planning the entire outing.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
A dry spring or autumn day suits a leisurely visit to the valley. Start in the morning during hot weather and assess slippery ground after rain. Access inside the religious buildings depends on an arrangement in every season. Check the forecast and current local restrictions before travelling.

What to bring

Grippy shoes for stone and earth
Drinking water, without relying on the spring
A hat and sun protection
Light rain protection
