Route description

From the Corral del Niño–Yegua Blanca connection, this selected walk heads west along Montaña Limón’s southern side. It uses an old link between the Güímar and La Orotava valleys. See the mountain from its side path and imagine how high-country routes joined different parts of the island. The winding slope passage gradually reaches the named locality of Cumbrita Fría, where this version ends. It neither reaches Montaña Limón’s summit nor visits the roadside viewpoint with the same name. Choose independent endpoint approaches and return beforehand to make the short mountain connection a clear outing.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainДанные по набору высоты уточняются.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски Account for sun, wind, cold and wellbeing at altitude. Bends on the natural path may have stones and uneven ground; check slipperiness after rain and in winter. Avoid a summit-side branch without an independently permitted plan. Choose the Cumbrita Fría return before starting, rather than at the end.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Time for the route 45 min–1 hr 15 min
With stops | 1–1 hr 45 min These intervals are editorial estimates for the selected westbound version. The park’s half-hour reference concerns a shorter standard connection and does not describe this whole walk. Add independent approaches and return separately.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose an open path and moderate wind. Fog may hide mountain scenery and complicate junction choices. Check snow and ice in the cold season, and sun exposure and current conservation restrictions in warmer weather.
