Route description

From Lomo del Cerrillar, this selected outing crosses Teide National Park’s Caramujo volcanic sector. The path follows Montaña de la Punta de Maja’s slope and intersects the old El Filo way. A break in the cloud may reveal La Orotava Valley to the north. Study how the volcanic forms fit together in an unhurried upper landscape away from road traffic. The eastern section reaches the saddle between Montaña de Enmedio and La Carnicería, ending on the Volcán de Fasnia path. Ascents of the neighbouring summits are not included. Independent walking approaches remain before the beginning and after the ending; choose them beforehand to make this connection a clear part of your park day.
