Route description

Telesforo Bravo is the final mountain ascent from La Rambleta to Teide summit. Here an outing becomes a climb: a calm pace allows time to study the volcanic surroundings and account for wellbeing. At the summit, Tenerife opens below, while clear weather may reveal other Canary Islands. The path honours Canarian geologist Telesforo Bravo. Fumarole country near the crater adds to the volcano’s story, but observe it only from the permitted path without approaching gas outlets. The selected version’s goal is the actual summit; arrange the return to La Rambleta separately. Obtain a separate PNT 10 reservation through Tenerife ON and coordinate its slot with arrival. A cable-car ticket gives no summit access, and a current permit does not guarantee cable-car operation. With suitable weather and an agreed plan, this short ascent makes a memorable conclusion to a Teide visit.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Car-free arrival can use a lower bus, operating cable car and separate summit authorisation. Steepness and altitude need preparation even on this short outing; with a teenager assess experience and wellbeing. A bicycle or stroller is unsuitable. Dog rules and reception are unestablished.

Nearby

Pico Viejo and La Fortaleza viewpoints belong to different upper walks. Long walking approaches from Montaña Blanca or Narices del Teide need independent permissions and timing. This version begins at the upper entrance and does not include the whole road-to-summit ascent.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
TITSA publishes routes 342 and 348 to the lower Teleférico del Teide stop. Arrange a separate ascent while the cable car operates, then approach the Telesforo Bravo entrance. PNT 10 authorisation is independent of the ticket. Walking arrival at La Rambleta needs additional permissions for the selected regulated approach; no bus is established above.
By car
Vehicle arrival ends at the lower cable-car roadside. La Rambleta and the summit are not accessible by car. Check mountain roads, cable-car operation and return below, coordinating arrival with the summit reservation.
Parking
The operator confirms base-station parking and publishes its current hours. Entry and exit are closed outside the applicable gate conditions. There is no vehicle area at the upper beginning or summit; independently check lower vacancy and timely return.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainДанные по набору высоты уточняются.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски This short ascent remains difficult because of steepness and high altitude. Move slowly, account for wellbeing and do not continue if it deteriorates. Wind, cold, fog, snow and ice can close the path. Avoid fumarole and crater-interior detours. Check current restrictions and compulsory equipment; return must fit both reservation and ticket conditions.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Time for the route 45 min–1 hr
With stops | 1 hr–1 hr 15 min The park gives around 45 minutes for the ordinary ascent. These intervals are editorial allowances for a calm pace and brief pause in the selected direction only. The return descent is additional. The operator permits up to two hours above with summit authorisation; fit ascent, return and pauses within the actual allowance and reservation slot.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose an open summit path, clear visibility and moderate wind. Winter snow and ice need independently checked permitted access and equipment. Summer sun does not remove upper cold. If the path is closed, a previously chosen ticket or reservation does not authorise an independent passage.
