Route description

This Opalikha–Pionerskaya journey centres on prolonged woodland running and a pause near Podushkino Spring. Voronoy Ford Stream appears in the opening portion, followed by Lohin Island. A short bridge approach visits the island and returns, introducing a protected natural setting beside the Moscow River while retaining energy for continuing. It visits part of the island rather than making a full island circuit. In Podushkino Forest, the course selects the updated spring side. The author proposed it from 2022 onwards, replacing an earlier rest place near Markov’s craters. An independent pause can be made near the spring, while your own water supply remains necessary. The following woodland continuation passes the Odintsovo-11 archaeological place, reaches Lazutinka’s Central Glade and continues towards Betonka, Forest Lake and Pear Pond. It concludes on Pionerskaya’s railway side, a practical place to return home after a substantial running day.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
For experienced runners able to distribute effort over sustained movement and navigate independently in woodland. The full course is unsuitable as a young children’s walk. Lazutinka limits dogs to designated areas and prohibits them on sporting courses. Permission to cycle on Lohin Island does not establish passage along every woodland connection in this version.

Nearby

Markov’s craters and the older western approach have not been added to this updated continuation. Glukhaya Yama Lake and other Lohin Island areas require a separate outing; the short bridge-side visit does not replace them. Arkhangelskoye Estate and Lazutinka facilities also need their own plans. An independent spring-side pause does not include a historical group fire, catering or present permission to light fires.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Travel to Opalikha on MCD-2 and approach the beginning separately from the platform using an authorised exit. After the complete outing, approach Pionerskaya railway halt on the Belorussky direction. Check your chosen train’s stops and return time before starting the prolonged journey. Gorki-6, Ilyinskoye and Zhukovka-1 intermediate road stops exist; any shorter finish depends on present services and a safe approach.
By car
Arrange Opalikha drop-off and Pionerskaya railway collection as two separate car journeys, using permitted station road sides. Private cars are not admitted to Lohin Island, and vehicles are prohibited inside Odintsovo Park. Do not treat the spring-side place as a car collection point.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Determine lawful Opalikha drop-off and post-Pionerskaya return arrangements before travelling. Do not leave a vehicle on approaches to the island bridge, spring or woodland paths.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 445 м.
SurfaceDirt 38%, Asphalt 21%, Fine gravel 9%, Unknown 25%.
Риски Do not expect identical surfaces throughout: rain leaves woodland connections and low ground wet. Check the bridge before the short island visit and do not replace it with water or ice crossings. Fire and damage to woodland are prohibited in the protected territory; leave archaeological places intact. Do not replenish drinking water from the spring without independent confirmation of its quality. Observe sporting-path markings, with prepared ski lanes closed to walking in winter. Use authorised railway and road crossings.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 6 h 7 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
The full duration of this updated version is not established. Add the island visit and return, independent spring-side pause, road crossings and train approach to your own woodland pace. Historical group tea or support are not current services. Retain spare daylight and energy for the waters and final Pionerskaya approach.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose dry, snow-free weather with open and passable woodland approaches. After heavy rain, check low ground and the bridge side, considering water levels in spring. Start in cooler conditions and carry water and tick protection in summer, with spare daylight in autumn. Confirm winter access for the whole continuation separately because of snow, ice and prepared sporting-path arrangements.
