Route description

The 2015 Sotnya begins on the Nekrasovskaya side and opens a broad western arc before reaching Morozki. The journey then changes scale and direction: beyond the Moscow Canal comes an eastern woodland section with the upper Yakhroma, followed by a northern return after the turnaround. The western chapter has its own Klubish encounter; the canal side appears again at the ending. This is an archival ski story that its author marks as outdated: the former passage is no longer possible in some places. It shows how different Moscow-region woodland sides were connected, while an independent outing today must use separately checked authorised sections.

Route at a glance

Главное за минуту
Explore the former Moscow-region Sotnya through its water boundaries: the Klubish on the western approach, the canal at Morozki and the Yakhroma in the eastern woods. Choose a confirmed accessible section for travel; the archival idea does not establish today’s connection of the entire journey.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
For experienced skiers studying former directions and checking access independently. The entire historic passage today is unconfirmed. Conditions for children, dogs and bicycles on individual sections are unknown. Do not plan the complete passage with a stroller; continuous reception is unestablished.

Nearby

The 2016 version differs on the western passage, while the 2017 western section is noticeably different and includes extra Klubish encounters. Later Radonezh circles need separate assessment. Historic Radonezh village and Abramtsevo museum are unconfirmed as visited places on this passage. Sporting stops, food and former finishing fires remain information about a past event.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The starting railway side is Nekrasovskaya on the Savyolovsky direction, with a separate platform approach. Morozki appears en route and is the return reference after the northern section; a separate passenger approach is needed from the final canal location. The former timed finishing point on the Kuzyaevo side is not arrival at a platform. Check present trains and authorised connections for your selected section.
By car
Agree delivery and collection for a specific authorised section. Former woodland connections do not establish vehicle approaches to the Klubish, Yakhroma or canal location. If a car remains on the Nekrasovskaya side, organise the return separately. Historical club stops are not current vehicle-support locations.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Ask whether you may leave a vehicle in the chosen location for the visit. Agree separate arrangements on the Nekrasovskaya and Morozki sides; a railway reference does not itself identify a permitted car place.

What to expect

Places
Woodland Klubish before the Morozki side After the far western arc, the historical passage meets the Klubish and turns towards Morozki. The small stream marks the move from western woodland to the canal side; check its present crossing independently.
Yakhroma on the eastern woodland arc The Yakhroma appears on the eastern continuation and again on the northern return side. The small river supplies recognisable places within the old ski journey, without a promise of working bridges or safe ice.
The Morozki location on the Moscow Canal The canal appears on the way east and at the end of the northern return. It is a water boundary of the former direction beside Morozki; establish a present authorised crossing before travel.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 1537 м.
SurfaceDirt 16%, Asphalt 14%, Dirt / grass 6%, Unknown 62%.
Риски The author marks the direction as outdated and partly impassable. Establish actual authorised connections on the western arc and eastern return before travelling. Do not continue through closed fences or private land. Assess the Klubish, Yakhroma and canal crossings separately: working bridges, safe ice and present clearance are unconfirmed. If passage is unchecked, choose another accessible section.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 20 h 37 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
The historical Sotnya was conceived as a one-day ski outing. A modern duration for repeating the entire line is unestablished, while old results and food-stop operation do not define today’s plan. For the chosen authorised section, allow reserves for river locations, a separate road exit and the approach to a train. Present overnight places and serviced stages are unconfirmed.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
The ski idea belongs to winter. For an individual woodland section, check settled snow and permitted passage first, then water conditions. Thaw changes river locations, while snow does not open developed connections. A complete summer version is unestablished; a former February outing date guarantees no conditions in a new season.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
For the chosen ski section: sound winter equipment and a repair kit.
Food, drinking water and a hot drink instead of relying on historical club fires.
Spare dry layer, wind protection and pause clothing.
A map of authorised approaches and river locations, phone, reserve power, light and first aid.
An agreed return to a road or platform and group communication.
