Route description

The Afanasotka variant introduces one large ski circle from the Radonezh woodland side through the Khlyby and Isakovo surroundings. Near Khlyby this selected passage uses the southern path bridge, a specific stopping point in the Yakhroma river surroundings that differs from the northern crossing of the old Morozki circle. The outing continues around the extended woodland loop and returns to the initial clearing. Its background is sporting, but this trip does not require repeating racing circles. The organizer states that Afanasotka is no longer held; check prepared skiing, permitted passages and your own return independently. In suitable conditions, it offers a whole winter day with a clear beginning and return.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
One full ski circle requires good fitness and independent planning. It is neither a family stroll nor a current organized event. Bicycle passage, continuous stroller access and dog rules are unconfirmed.

Nearby

A separate approach to the Khlyby spring or visit to historic Radonezh village lies beyond this selected circle and needs its own time. The author’s shortened Beklemishevo returns are different outing variants and should be planned separately.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The railway approach uses Radonezh halt. It is separate from the woodland circle’s beginning, so choose a permitted outward and return approach beforehand. Check services and ski carriage; the halt’s name does not place the outing in historic Radonezh village.
By car
Vehicle access to the woodland beginning is unconfirmed. Agree the drop-off and meeting after returning separately.
Parking
There is no confirmed current parking information at the circle’s beginning. Former event infrastructure is not assured; arrange any vehicle storage separately.
