Route description

The ski programme inspired by a 2006 expedition spans different parts of Khamar-Daban: the Slyudyanka valley and Chersky Peak, the Bosan side, southern river headwaters, Khan-Ula and Langutay Gate. Summit excursions alternate with river valleys and woodland. Named mountains give the broad concept specific destinations, but complete passages between some programme sections are not established. Develop a continuous expedition and a safe exit to settlements separately before departure. This material suits experienced groups prepared to reassess snow, river icing, passes and independent stays. Historical winter travel confirms the interesting places but does not establish present slope safety or a complete expedition ready to repeat.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 7423 м.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски Do not replace undeveloped connections between remote sections with direct travel across unfamiliar slopes. Check snow, avalanche conditions, river icing and safe exits for each pass and valley. Historical hut stays and river conditions do not establish present guarantees. An experienced leader must choose technical passage methods according to actual conditions.
