Route description

From the Slyudyanka valley, the substantial walking traverse climbs to Chertovy Gate and follows western ridges towards Bosan. After the summit excursion it returns to the onward route, continues northwest and descends towards Tibelti’s southern approach. Woodland valley, open divides and a named summit provide a complete change of mountain impressions. The programme finishes before a verified road or transport meeting: add the approach to your required Tibelti location separately. The large traverse needs independent stays, water and alternative exits. Fast sporting travel in a historical account does not set an ordinary group’s pace. Preserve energy for the entire ridge passage and a safe conclusion.

SurfaceImproved surface 32%, Dirt 26%, Artificial surface 10%, Unknown 31%.
Риски Check present crossings and water in the Slyudyanka valley. Ridge climbs, stones, dwarf pine and poor visibility increase effort. Avoid unstable ladders at Bosan’s upper boulders and do not rely on historical structures. Preserve food and time during the descent towards Tibelti; check the road approach and any further crossings independently.

How much time to allow

A day-by-day plan is not established for this multiday traverse. Confirm stays, water, safe exits and road departure, then allocate stages. Historical sporting duration does not describe an ordinary present programme. Complete duration is unknown.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose walking after checking snow, river levels and the mountain forecast. Prolonged rain complicates valleys and fog complicates ridges. Water may be limited higher up later in summer; autumn snow requires programme changes.
