Route description

The main approach to Dachnye Springs begins outside Mutnovsky Geothermal Power Station and passes the Bear thermal field towards the Active group. Streams, thermally altered ground and steam outlets appear as you progress. Between the fields, the established road and walking side remains separate from the industrial grounds. The Active group completes this version, with the return and separate bathing branches still to arrange. Choose a confirmed open day when the slopes and permitted approach allow a safe journey back through the thermal landscape.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - With caution With a dog - No data By bike - No With a stroller - No Mobile signal - Patchy Confidence on wet clay ground is needed. Keep children close beside streams and thermal outlets, away from mud pots. Visiting conditions with dogs are unconfirmed. Reception near the station does not establish continuous coverage across the thermal side.

Nearby

The Duck thermal field and warm waterfall behind the weather station are separate branches outside this main passage. Their bathing pools do not establish safe bathing at the Active group. Mutnovsky Geothermal Power Station is an external landmark, with no industrial visit included. Ascending Mutnovsky Volcano is a separate direction with its own restrictions; add it only under a current permitted plan.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Regular transport directly to the station’s external parking is unconfirmed. Arrange a vehicle transfer from Termalny or an organised journey to the walking start beforehand. Confirm the permitted drop-off and return time. After the Active group, the walk back to the external road side remains.
By car
The external drive follows the road from Termalny towards Mutnovsky Geothermal Power Station via the Vilyuchinsky Pass side. Arrange a current Ustoy-M pass for the construction section. Leave the vehicle before the station checkpoint and continue along the established walking approach. Access inside the power-station grounds is prohibited; an open road does not confirm access to every thermal field.
Parking
The passport identifies external parking to the right of the Mutnovsky Geothermal Power Station checkpoint. It lies beside the walking start, with a remaining approach to include separately. Confirm spaces, permission to park and charges before setting out. Do not enter the industrial grounds to park closer.

What to expect

Places
Bear thermal field The first named thermal stop in a hollow beside a stream. View mud pots and hot-water outlets from the established path without approaching steam vents.
Active group of Dachnye Springs The final thermal field on the main approach. View steam outlets and thermally altered ground from a permitted firm position; safe bathing here is unconfirmed.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 66 м.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски Streams and clay slopes between the fields become slippery after rain. Check small crossings locally; the bridges described in the guide are not guaranteed to remain present. Avoid thin thermal crusts, mud pots and steam jets. Check current seismic conditions and slope stability in the Mutnovsky area before travelling.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 46 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Plan a daytime visit along the main thermal approach with a separate return. Complete duration is unconfirmed. Divide time between the road transfer, Bear field, passage to the Active group and the return walk. Separate bathing branches and other thermal places require their own agreed plan and daylight reserve.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
The regional passport publishes June–October for walking, subject to open access and suitable conditions. Check snow, rain and current park reports for the particular day. The park list marks the winter version closed, so this walking approach does not establish a winter outing. Mutnovsky-area hazards need checking even within the summer season.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода

Windproof waterproof clothing, a warm layer, water and food.
Light, first aid and a map of the external parking and main thermal branch.

Road-pass documents; keep hands and animals clear of hot outlets and fragile crusts.
