Route description

Sunny Circuit opens a broad southern arc of the Torgashinsky Ridge: from a woodland junction toward the Bazaikha, through rocky ground and back over the upper forest roads. In this direction, descend first toward the lower valley, meet the Bolshaya and Malaya Voyla streams and reach the river side. The setting changes: after enclosed woodland, the Bazaikha appears nearby and rocky slopes rise above its valley. The southern section passes the Sloyki area toward Sunny Rocks. Balcony and Canyon are named viewpoints where a pause is worthwhile from stable positions on the path. Poganka Cave, also known as Svetlaya, has an entrance beside the passage. Discover this side of the local karst from outside, leaving underground exploration for separate preparation. Examine the rocks as part of the terrain, where ledges and ribs shape the river-facing slope. The circuit then climbs toward the eastern and northern woodland, passes the Zagorye-2 side and returns west to the beginning. This provides an extended encounter with valley and ridge while requiring strength for the complete journey. Join from the allotment side after an agreed drop-off to change the order. Separate summits and the branch to Veera’s upper point are outside this outing.

Route at a glance

Главное за минуту
For an extensive circuit of the river-facing and rocky sides of the Torgashinsky Ridge. The Bazaikha, two Voyla streams, Sloyki and named viewpoints around Sunny Rocks form a connected landscape story. Follow the change from water to stony slopes and upper woodland, allowing more time than an outing to the nearest viewpoint. Choose it when prepared for a substantial walking day.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - No With a dog - No data By bike - No With a stroller - No Mobile signal - Poor Sunny Circuit needs very good fitness, with the city-transport approach extending the complete outing further. Steep ground, loose rock and stream crossings require experience and spare strength. The full version is unsuitable for an ordinary children’s leisure walk or stroller. Complete permitted cycling and dog conditions are unconfirmed. The organiser reports reception only nearer the city, so prepare planning and navigation independently of phone signal.

Nearby

Svetly Grotto near Sloyki needs a separate approach; it is distinct from Poganka’s Svetlaya alias. Both Veera’s upper point and its main lower massif remain on separate branches from this version. Hariusnye Rocks, Troglodyte Rocks, Khayryuzovka Meadow and other nearby places need independently checked approaches. Abatak is a distant mountain reference without an included ascent. Explore the remaining Torgashinsky Ridge on separate outings while retaining strength for this substantial circuit.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The organiser suggests bus 118a to Kuznetsovo, followed by a separate approach along Kuznetsovo Trail to Health Trail and the eastern circuit. Another external option approaches from the city side through Karst toward Zagorye-2. These journeys are outside the woodland circuit; a direct bus to its southern start is unestablished. Check present services, permitted passage through settled areas and the return beforehand. When arriving from the east or north, join the circuit there after choosing a direction and time reserve.
By car
The described northern drop-off approaches through the Zagorye-2 allotments. Check the permitted road, gates and drop-off before travelling, then continue on foot. A different arrival at Kuznetsovo leaves a separate ridge approach. Vehicle passage through this circuit to the lower Bazaikha is unconfirmed. Mapped ground-surfaced roads and woodland resting places do not establish the right to drive around it.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Before travelling, ask whether vehicle storage is permitted on the settled side for the complete day. Agree use of the chosen place and storage conditions separately. Keep allotment gates, private entrances and woodland roads clear; an empty space does not establish permission to use it.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 340 м.
SurfaceDirt 66%, Gravel 4%, Unknown 30%.
Риски The organiser classifies this circuit as hard: very good fitness and confident walking on steep ground are needed. Descents include loose stones, with slippery conditions possible in wet and winter weather. Check present Bolshaya and Malaya Voyla crossing conditions separately; turn back or postpone if water is unsafe. This outing does not cross the Bazaikha itself. Viewpoints do not require approaching a cliff edge, and a nearby cave entrance does not establish a safe underground visit. With weak reception, retain independent navigation and daylight for the return.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Time for the route 4–5 hours
With stops | Unestablished The organiser gives this guide only for the circuit itself with suitable fitness. Add vehicle travel or the long bus approach, water and rock stops, and the return to transport separately. Outings combining neighbouring Davydov paths have a different plan and do not set this version’s timing. Unsafe water, wet ground and snow may require postponement rather than a rushed finish. Divide the day into clear sections and start early enough to complete the woodland return in daylight.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose a dry snow-free day with clear slope visibility and checked streams for a first visit. Spring snowmelt and prolonged rain change lower crossings. Warm-season visits require tick protection. Wet autumn rock, leaves and short daylight matter on a long circuit; the organiser warns of slippery winter sections. Bazaikha and stream ice are outside the ordinary walking plan. Check the complete circuit rather than only road access to Zagorye.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Footwear with grip, woodland and open-slope clothing, rain and wind protection.
Water, food and reserves for the complete day including external approaches; natural-water refilling is unestablished.
A junction map, compass, headlamp, charged phone and backup power.
First-aid supplies, seasonal tick protection, a waste bag and spare dry belongings.
Poles may help on ground-surfaced ascents and descents without replacing careful passage choices. Climbing or caving equipment does not make a separate ascent or underground visit part of the ordinary circuit.
