Route description

Winter directions in the woodland part of Akademgorodok’s botanical garden introduce the Zyryanka valley and Beaver Pond bank. A small waterbody opens beyond the trees, and a bridge stands on the right ski trail. These places give the outing its own character: a woodland stream, banks and snowy paths take the place of city shopfronts. The southern outing beside the Zyryanka and pond and the northern continuation are separate. Choose a suitable section and establish permitted connections before setting out. A ready continuous loop is unavailable. Check the ski trail and bridges after snowfall and thaw; regular preparation throughout is unconfirmed. Pause briefly beside the pond, listen to the woodland and return by your planned way. The botanical garden remains a scientific and protected territory. Woodland skiing and visits to the arboretum or greenhouses need separate planning; establish exhibition access and winter conditions with the garden.

Nearby

The arboretum, outdoor exhibitions, greenhouses and Botanical Museum of Siberia can form a separate garden visit. Admission and tours have their own conditions; establish booking beforehand. The Book Squirrel and the Tuda-Syuda woodland object stand away from the verified directions. Beaver Pond’s name does not promise a beaver encounter. Do not collect plants or light fires.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The Baza Tulskogo stop is mapped beside the northern end. Check operating services and a permitted approach before travelling. The garden’s official directions describe arrival through Akademgorodok and Kirovo, but the southern woodland start needs a separate approach. Arrange the return from your chosen section: the northern end differs from the southern start.
By car
Approach the institution from Berdskoye Highway through Kirovo and Vasilkovaya Street, following garden signs. For skiing, agree a permitted road meeting point and access to your chosen woodland direction beforehand. The southern start lies in the woodland. Do not continue the drive along the ski trail.
Parking
A ground-surface parking area is mapped beside the northern end. Access, charges and permission to leave a vehicle throughout the outing are unverified. The garden requires designated parking; establish separately whether this area qualifies. It does not provide a verified vehicle approach to the southern start.

What to expect

Bridge on the Right Ski Trail small crossing along the woodland outing.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainДанные по набору высоты уточняются.
SurfaceDirt 38%, Dirt / grass 24%, Fine gravel 2%, Unknown 35%.
Риски The outing’s sections are disconnected; choose permitted connections beforehand. The southern direction meets the Zyryanka and another woodland stream: inspect crossings and banks on arrival. Snow cover does not establish ice strength. Bridges may be slippery and the ski trail may be unprepared after fresh snowfall. Confident ski handling and an independent return are required. Observe the protected territory’s rules.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 1 h 55 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
First choose the southern outing beside the Zyryanka and pond or the northern woodland section. Add time for the permitted approach, crossings and return to your road meeting point. A full duration combining every direction is unestablished. Keep the pond pause brief before cooling down; finish with spare daylight.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
The skiing format needs established snow cover. Check access to your chosen ski trail before leaving. Inspect bridges and stream banks particularly carefully after a thaw. A crossing visible beneath spring snow may be misleading. Summer exhibition visits have separate conditions and do not replace checks for this winter direction.
